We are so glad to join you in prayer and to offer biblical guidance for your family's needs. It is so important that you have acknowledged Jesus Christ and God as your sources of help and salvation as our only true help comes from God. It is wonderful that you want a closer relationship with God as this is the most important relationship we can have. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can approach God as is stated in John WEB 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. There are so many encouraging promises in the Bible, and we stand on those promises as we pray for you and your family.
Firstly, we address the issue of alcohol. The Bible warns us against the dangers of drunkenness in Ephesians WEB 5:18
Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support to overcome this challenge. We pray that God will give you and your wife the strength and grace to overcome this stronghold.
For your son, we pray that God will open the right doors for him to find a good job and godly friendships. We encourage him to trust in the Lord's timing and to seek God's will for his life, as stated in Proverbs WEB 3:5-6
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
For your daughter, we pray that God will provide her with a better job that aligns with His will for her life. We encourage her to be patient and to trust in God's provision, as mentioned in Matthew WEB 6:33
But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
For you, we pray that God will help you excel at your job and give you a spirit of peace and sound mind. We encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, as Peter tells us in 1 Peter WEB 5:7
casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Finally, we join you in your desire to hold on to God with both hands. We pray that your family will draw closer to God and experience His peace, love, and provision in every area of your lives. Remember the words of Jesus in John WEB 10:28
I give them eternal life. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand
We leave you with the assurance of God's love and faithfulness, as expressed in Romans WEB 8:28:
