We are truly blessed to hear of this commitment to spend time alone with God, engaging in prayer and fasting for repentance, victory, and spiritual growth. This is a powerful step in your spiritual journey, and we want to support you in this endeavor, IJN.
Firstly, let us remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6: 16-18 WEB:
"Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."
Fasting is a intimate and secret act directed towards God, make sure that you are truly focusing on Him rather than simply not eating. In addition, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:15 WEB:
"Jesus said to them, 'Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.'"
As you seek God for victory over areas of bondage and demonic oppression, remember the promise in James 4:7 WEB:
"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
It is only through Jesus Christ and His blood shed on the cross that we have access to God. It is also only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved. It is that powerful. Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who has dedicated this time to seek You more deeply. We pray that during this period of fasting and prayer, You would reveal Yourself in a powerful way, bringing healing, deliverance, and a closer walk with You, IJN.
Lord, we ask that You would grant our brother/sister the strength to resist temptation and to break free from any bondage or demonic oppression. We stand in agreement, declaring victory over these areas in his/her life, through the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, we also pray that You would bless him/her with a deeper understanding of Your love, grace, and mercy. May this time of fasting and prayer draw him/her closer to You, and may he/she be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment, knowing that God honors those who diligently seek Him. Remember the promise in Hebrews 11:6 WEB:
"Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him."
May God bless you richly during this time and always.
