We understand how important it is to honor family and be present during times of loss and mourning. We lift this request before the Lord, asking Him to make a way for your time off to be approved so you may attend the viewing and funeral of your relative. The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven," and this includes a time to mourn and a time to gather with loved ones.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, asking for Your favor and grace to be upon this situation. We pray that You would soften the hearts of those in authority to grant this request, allowing time for healing and remembrance. Lord, we know that all things are possible through You, and we trust in Your perfect timing and will. Guide the decisions of those who have the power to approve this request, and let Your peace surround this family as they gather to honor their loved one.
We also encourage you to lean on the Lord during this time of grief. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Allow God to comfort you and your family as you come together to celebrate the life of your relative.
If there is any unforeseen obstacle or delay, we pray that God would reveal His purpose in it and grant you the strength to endure. Trust in Him, for He is faithful, and His plans for you are good. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
May the Lord bless you and keep you during this time, and may His face shine upon you as you seek to honor Him in all things.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
