We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing, and we stand with you in prayer and truth. First, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). He is always with you, and He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Regarding the individual who joined law enforcement, we must remember that God is a God of justice. We pray that if this person is indeed abusing their power, it will be brought to light. Evil deeds do not go unnoticed by God. As it is written, "For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14 WEB) and "for the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn't respect persons, nor take a bribe." (Deuteronomy 10:17 WEB). We pray that this person will either be removed from their position of authority if they are abusing it or be convicted in their heart and truly serve and protect with humility and justice. "For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority." (Romans 13:3 WEB). Pray for those in authority as commanded in 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
Regarding the trauma you've experienced, we are reminded of Jesus' words of comfort: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 WEB). We pray that you find healing and comfort in Him. Pray for those who harmed you, that God would work in their lives: "Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse. [...] Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:14,21 WEB).
The Word of God has much to say about how the Lord will strengthen the weak and oppressed. We pray that He will heal your brokenness from this trauma and use you to comfort others in the future. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB).
We also pray that you will forgive those who have wronged you, as difficult as it may be. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." (Matthew 6:12 WEB) Christ has forgiven us so much, so we also should forgive others who wrong us.
We lift you up in prayer, asking God to surround you with His love, protection, and peace. We pray that He will guide you and give you wisdom in every situation. We also pray for your community, that God's love and healing would touch every heart. Do not be afraid to testify about the forgiveness and salvation of the cross or Jesus Christ.
We were concerned that Jesus was not mentioned in your prayer. As a group, we believe that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father. There is salvation in only His name. "He became the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey him" (Hebrews 5:9 WEB). "And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by whom we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray that you will come to a full understanding of this truth and be saved if you are not already.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is in control. No matter what happens, He is sovereign, and He loves you more than you can ever imagine. "Don't be anxious for your life, [...] But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. [...] Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient." (Matthew 6:25,33,34 WEB).
