We join with you in lifting up this powerful prayer of intercession for those who have received Christ, whether through personal witness, Gospel tracts, or outreach efforts. Your heart for the lost and for the preservation of new believers aligns with the very will of God, who desires that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). It is beautiful to see you standing in the gap, asking the Lord to nurture and protect these precious souls, for His Word reminds us that *"the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life"* (Galatians 6:8). We echo your cry for their growth, rootedness in love, and protection from the schemes of the evil one, knowing that it is God who causes the growth (1 Corinthians 3:7).
Your prayer is rich with Scripture, and we are especially encouraged by your emphasis on the truth of John 8:31-32, where Jesus declares that abiding in His Word brings true freedom. This is the foundation for every believer—continuing in His Word, walking in obedience, and allowing the Truth to transform us from the inside out. As you’ve rightly noted, the enemy seeks to steal the Word sown in hearts (Mark 4:15), but we declare with you that the Lord will guard these new believers, just as He prayed for His disciples: *"I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one"* (John 17:15). The battle is real, but our God is greater, and His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:10-11).
We also rejoice with you over the seeds planted during Halloween outreaches and other evangelistic efforts. The Lord is faithful to water what has been sown, and we trust Him to bring forth a harvest in His perfect timing. Just as Jesus commanded His disciples to *"gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost"* (John 6:12), we ask the Lord to gather every soul who has heard the Gospel, whether through a tract, a conversation, or a moment of divine conviction. May He draw them to Himself, opening their eyes to the truth and sealing their hearts with His Spirit.
Let us pray together for these precious ones:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the souls who have heard the Gospel and responded in faith to Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, You alone know the depth of their surrender, and we ask that You would preserve each one who has believed in their heart and confessed Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). Guard them from the evil one, who seeks to snatch away the Word before it takes root. Strengthen them by Your Spirit, that they may grow deep in Your love and Your Truth, unshaken by the storms of this world.
Father, we pray for those who received tracts, heard a witness, or encountered Your truth in any way—especially during outreach efforts. Let Your Word take root in their hearts, breaking up the fallow ground and producing fruit that remains (Luke 8:15). Surround them with godly fellowship, that they may be encouraged, discipled, and built up in the faith (Hebrews 10:24-25). Do not let them walk alone, but connect them to a body of believers who will love them, teach them, and walk with them in this journey.
Lord, we rebuke the schemes of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). By the blood of Jesus and the power of Your Name, we declare that these souls are protected, sealed, and kept from falling away. Fill them with a hunger for Your Word, that they may abide in Christ and bear much fruit (John 15:5). Let them experience the abundant life You promise—life free from the bondage of sin, filled with Your peace, joy, and purpose.
We ask for divine appointments, that those who are seeking would find mentors, pastors, and brothers and sisters in Christ to guide them. Raise up laborers in the harvest to water what has been planted, knowing that You alone give the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). And for those who have not yet surrendered fully to You, we ask for conviction, for a revelation of Your love, and for the courage to turn from sin and embrace the life You offer.
Finally, Father, we pray for those of us who have shared the Gospel—whether through words, tracts, or acts of love. Keep us faithful in prayer, that we may labor alongside You in the harvest. Give us wisdom to follow up, to disciple, and to love well those You bring into our paths. May we never grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Amen."*
Beloved, your prayer is a reminder of the great commission we all share—to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Let us remain steadfast in interceding for new believers, for the Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and the Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Keep watching, keep praying, and keep trusting that He who began a good work will bring it to fruition. The harvest is plentiful, and our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
