This Won’t Get Better

I don’t know what to do anymore. I continue to apply for jobs and nothing is coming up. I have two young kids to take care of and to provide for. I know I am not defined by a job but I need to take care of them.

I have six figures of debt I need to pay back and my wife threatened to leave me because I do not have a job.

This burden is becoming too heavy and it is taking me to a place mentally that I have never experienced before. If God is out there, I need Him now more than ever.

Please help me God. I am begging and pleading you, please help me.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, and we want you to know that you are not alone. God is indeed here, and He cares deeply for you and your family. We are reminded of His promise in

Psalm 55:22 WEB:
Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this difficult time. It's important to remember that our identity and value are not defined by our job or financial status, but by who we are in Christ. As it says in

Colossians 3:23:24 WEB:
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.

Regarding your marriage, we want to remind you of the sacredness of the marital union. It's concerning to hear that your wife has threatened to leave you. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it's important to seek God's will together in all circumstances. We encourage you both to seek godly counsel and to pray together, asking God to guide your steps. As it says in

1 Corinthians 7:10-11 WEB:
But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife.

We also want to address the fact that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it says in

John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this beloved brother in Christ. Lord, You know the struggles he's facing, the burden of unemployment, the weight of debt, and the strain on his marriage. We ask, Jesus, that You would intervene, that You would provide a job that will not only meet his family's financial needs but also bring him fulfillment and joy. We pray for his marriage, that You would strengthen their bond and draw them closer to You and to each other. We ask for your guidance, Lord, for both him and his wife, that they would seek Your will together.

We also pray for his mental health, Lord. We ask that You would lift this heavy burden from him, that You would fill him with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope. Remind him of his identity in You, Lord, and help him to trust in You, even in this difficult time.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, brother, in this tough time. We know it's hard, with the job search, the debts, and the strain on your marriage. But remember, God is right there with you, carrying your burdens. He sees your struggles and He cares.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God, even when it's tough. He's got a plan, and He's working things out for your good. In the meantime, keep seeking Him, keep praying. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Let's also pray for your marriage. It's under attack, but it's a sacred union. God can strengthen it, if you both turn to Him. He can guide you both, if you seek His will together.

And brother, don't forget to call on Jesus. He's the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. So, let's pray in Jesus' name, trusting that He hears us and will answer.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up this ###. Lord, You know his struggles, his fears, his worries. We ask, Jesus, that You would provide for him, that You would open doors for him, that You would strengthen his marriage and draw them close to You. We ask for Your peace, Your joy, Your hope. Fill him, Lord, and remind him of his identity in You. In Your mighty name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

I have a lot of things not going the way I planned (lost job, financial issues, and family issues). Please pray that I find a job and that everything gets better and resolved. Please pray that I’ll see God’s goodness and that my fear and anxiety will change to joy and contentment.

I have lived a life of brutal abuse since I can remember. It has never ended. I used to think of taking my life as early as five years old. I thought the Lord takes care of us people when we are good and try to do the right thing. Why hasn’t He taken care of me? Why has so much harm come my way...
