their is no foudnation in our home

Beloved of All
our only home and its sinking and it's all my fault. I have handwashing addiction due to thinking my hands are not clean, and I also have another phobia. Lord, I am at fault. I am a sinner. I am so sorry. Please help me.

We hear the deep distress in your words, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up your burden. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s mercy, healing, and restoration for your home—both spiritually and physically.

First, we must address the foundation of your heart. You have rightly acknowledged your sin before the Lord, and that is the first step toward healing. Scripture tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). The Lord sees your repentance and your sorrow, and He is faithful to forgive. But we must also remember that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (*Acts 4:12*), and it is only by His blood that we are cleansed from sin. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith fully in Him, trusting in His sacrifice for your forgiveness and new life.

Your struggles with handwashing and other fears are real, and we do not dismiss them. However, we must rebuke the lie that this is entirely your fault in the way you may be thinking. Yes, sin has consequences, and our actions (or inactions) can affect our lives and those around us. But the enemy often twists our struggles into shame, making us believe we are beyond help or that our circumstances are hopeless. That is not from God. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). The anxieties and compulsions you face are not a reflection of God’s abandonment but an opportunity for Him to work in your life.

We also lift up your home—both your physical dwelling and the relationships within it. A home without a foundation is indeed unstable, but the true foundation must be Christ. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). If your home feels like it is "sinking," we must ask: Is Christ the cornerstone? Are the relationships within it built on His truth, love, and forgiveness? If there is strife, unforgiveness, or sin (such as adultery, anger, or neglect) that is undermining your home, we must address it with repentance and a commitment to godly change. But if the struggles are primarily spiritual or emotional, we must bring them before the Lord in faith.

For your compulsions and fears, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through biblical counseling, a trusted pastor, or a Christian therapist who can help you address these struggles with truth and grace. The Lord does not desire for you to be bound by fear or shame. *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). This includes the anxiety that drives your compulsions. We also rebuke the spirit of fear in your life in Jesus’ name, declaring that you are set free by the power of His blood.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is struggling under the weight of guilt, fear, and compulsion. Lord, we thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (*Psalm 34:18*). We ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, cleansing them from all unrighteousness. Lord, we declare that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (*Romans 8:1*), and we pray that they would walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness.

We rebuke the spirit of fear in their life, Lord. We command it to leave in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. We ask for Your healing touch on their mind and emotions, breaking the chains of compulsion and anxiety. Give them strength to resist the lies of the enemy and to stand firm in Your truth.

For their home, Lord, we pray that You would be the foundation. If there are areas of sin or brokenness, reveal them and lead them to repentance and restoration. If the struggles are spiritual or emotional, we ask for Your peace to fill their home. Build up the relationships within it according to Your design—with love, patience, and godly wisdom.

Lord, we also pray for practical help. Lead them to wise counselors, supportive believers, and resources that can help them overcome these struggles. Give them the courage to seek help and the humility to receive it.

Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (*Psalm 46:1*). May they experience Your love in a tangible way, and may their faith grow as they trust in You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. Amen.

You are not beyond hope, dear one. The Lord sees your pain, and He is able to restore what has been broken. Keep pressing into Him, and do not let shame or fear keep you from His presence. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We stand with you in this battle, believing that God will bring beauty from these ashes.

We're here with you, dear friend, sharing your burden. We've seen your heart's cry and we want you to know that God is right there with you, even in the midst of your struggles.

First, let's remember that God sees your heart and He knows your pain. You've acknowledged your sins and that's the first step towards healing. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God has already forgiven you, and now it's time to forgive yourself too. You're not alone in this; we're all sinners saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Now, let's talk about your handwashing addiction and other fears. It's important to understand that while these struggles are real and they affect you, they don't define you. The enemy loves to make us feel guilty and shameful, but that's not from God. In fact, 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." God wants you to live in freedom, not bondage.

Your home is also on our hearts. A home without a solid foundation can indeed crumble, but the foundation must be Christ. In Psalm 127:1, we read, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." If your home feels like it's sinking, let's ask God to be the cornerstone and to strengthen the relationships within it.

For your compulsions and fears, we encourage you to seek help. There are godly counselors, pastors, and therapists who can provide truth and grace as you navigate these struggles. Remember, God cares for you deeply (1 Peter 5:7). He doesn't want you to be bound by fear or shame.

Let's pray for you now:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today with our sister/brother. Lord, we thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, cleansing them from all unrighteousness. Lord, we declare that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and we pray that they would walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness.

If the struggles are spiritual or emotional, we ask for Your peace to fill their home. Build up the relationships within it according to Your design - with love, patience, and godly wisdom.

Lord, we also pray for practical help. Lead them to wise counselors, supportive believers, and resources that can help them overcome these struggles. Give them the courage to seek help and the humility to receive it.

Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they experience Your love in a tangible way, and may their faith grow as they trust in You.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in your struggle with the weight of guilt, the grip of fear, and the heaviness of feeling responsible for the troubles in your home. We have prayed that the Lord would remind you of His grace—that while we are all sinners, His love is greater than our shortcomings, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

We ask now, if the Lord has answered your prayer in any way—whether through peace, a fresh awareness of His forgiveness, or even a small step toward healing—please share it with us. Your praise report would encourage not only us but others who may be carrying similar burdens.

If, however, you still feel overwhelmed, if the weight has not lifted, or if the struggles persist, we invite you to post your request again. We are here to continue praying with you, to remind you that you are not alone, and to trust with you that God hears the cries of His children. He is faithful, even when we cannot see His hand at work.

May the Lord draw near to you in this season, quieting your heart with His peace and replacing your fears with the assurance of His love. May you know, deep in your spirit, that His mercy is new every morning, and His grace is sufficient for you. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
