The Uphill Battle For Purity

Hello,

I will not share my name. But, I will say that I am a sinner saved by grace through faith. Please pray for me in these recent days of temptation, and the same temptation is overwhelming me. Pray for strength above all, to remember that even when I stumble. That God's grace is still greater. That God would help me escape this old habit of self-deprecation. If anything, that has been more of an uphill battle than the temptations of the flesh.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We understand that you are facing temptations and struggling with self-deprecation, and you have reached out for prayer and support. Firstly, we want to commend you for your faith and for acknowledging that you are a sinner saved by grace through faith. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved and have access to God. As the Bible tells us, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB. We also want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name, for it is only in His name that we can approach God and be saved. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB.

In your struggle against temptation, remember that God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. He will also provide a way out. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.

Regarding your battle with self-deprecation, we want to remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image. You are precious to Him, and He desires for you to see yourself through His eyes. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Psalm 139:13-14 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our brother/sister in Christ who is facing temptations and battling self-deprecation. We pray that You would strengthen them according to Your Word and help them see themselves through Your eyes. Remind them of Your unfailing grace and love, and provide a way out of the temptations they face.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
