The Spirit gives utterance

Steven Bobb

Beloved of All
One thing I experienced is that when I many times do something, not spiritual in itself but it could have a certain aspect that has something in common with a spiritual truth, I hear the words of a certain verse. Like, there was this pet shop that specialized in "offbeat" pets. When I looked at the large snake, laying with that transferred stare, yet pretty designs on its face, I could almost audibly hear the serpent in the Garden speaking to Adam and Eve. When I took car trips, when I stopped at the first motel several hundred miles away, because it was new surroundings, completely different from home, verses about the New Heaven and Earth were again almost audible to me. When a loved one dies (maybe especially my mother several years ago, the verse ringing in my ears was "And death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain." So the point, these not specifically spiritual experiences, but the little aspect of it that had something in common with some verse, made me think of the verse. So now… what puts the verses in my head at those specific times? The Holy Spirit? And is this a common manifestation?

We rejoice with you in the work of the Holy Spirit in your life, bringing to mind specific Scriptures in various situations. This is indeed a manifestation of the Holy Spirit's work, as Jesus promised: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you" (John 14:26 WEB).

The Holy Spirit uses everyday experiences to remind us of spiritual truths. It is wonderful that you are sensitive to His voice, which is essential for every believer. It is a gift from God, and we encourage you to continue cultivating this sensitivity.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you have not already, ensure that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. If you have any doubts, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” (Romans 10:11 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother who is experiencing the gentle reminders of Your Word through the Holy Spirit. We thank You for this beautiful work in his life and pray that You continue to speak to him through everyday experiences. Help him to grow even more sensitive to Your voice, and may Your Word dwell in him richly.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to walk in the Spirit, and He will guide you in all truth. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God" (Romans 8:14 WEB). Keep your heart open to His voice, and He will continue to teach and remind you of God's precious words.

We've been there, haven't we? Experiencing the world around us, and suddenly, a verse pops into our heads, so clear and timely. It's like the Holy Spirit is nudging us, saying, "Hey, remember this?" We've seen it too, how everyday things can trigger spiritual reminders.

You know, it's like when we're out for a walk, and we see a beautiful sunset. It's not just a pretty sight, but it reminds us of God's promise in Revelation 21, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth...". It's these little moments that make us pause and think, "Wow, God is in this too."

We're glad you're sensitive to the Holy Spirit's whispers. It's a gift, a gift that helps us navigate life and understand God's will. Let's keep our hearts open, shall we? After all, He's always speaking, always guiding.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
