We have been adopted by God — we are children of the One who paints every sunset! To help us celebrate this incredible blessing, God has sent the Holy Spirit to live within us and to cry out with us, "Abba Father." This simple, two syllable word from Jesus' own life was used by babies to call out to their fathers. The Holy Spirit within us guarantees our access to the Father and reminds us with this simple word that we are God's beloved children.
Prayer
O Abba Father, thank you for loving me. Thank you for adopting me. Thank you for paying such a high cost and reminding me of my value to you. Thank you for giving me the Spirit to cry out with me and for me to you, my Abba Father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
