Not all cults are advertising clearly condemned things unBiblical, like the occult. What I also notice is the mindset preached, theirs is the "only true religion and they follow a different gospel, saying proudly that they're the Bible was being taught wrong until they came along, and God has raised them up after this time to share this 'True Gospel' But we're not to change the Bible. What these are is misled people, twisting things. Request for being seeking spiritual enlightenment to have discernment and see through this.

We hear your deep concern about the subtle yet dangerous signs of cult-like groups that distort the truth of God’s Word while claiming to be the "only true religion." This is a serious matter, for Scripture warns us in Galatians 1:6-9, *"I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel, which is not another gospel. But there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any ‘good news’ other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any ‘good news’ other than that which you received, let him be cursed."*

The pride of these groups—claiming that God’s Word was misunderstood until *they* arrived—is a red flag. The Bible is complete, sufficient, and unchanging (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Any group that adds to, subtracts from, or reinterprets Scripture to fit their own narrative is leading people astray. Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 24:24, *"For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones."*

We must also be vigilant against the spirit of elitism—where a group claims exclusive access to God’s truth. True Christianity is not about being part of an exclusive club but about humbly submitting to Christ and His Word. 1 John 4:1 urges, *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."*

For discernment, we must saturate ourselves in Scripture, for it is the plumb line by which all teachings must be measured (Hebrews 4:12). We must also rely on the Holy Spirit, who guides us into all truth (John 16:13). And we must remain in fellowship with other believers, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We ask for Your wisdom and discernment to recognize false teachings and cult-like deceptions. Lord, Your Word says that Your sheep hear Your voice, and they will not follow the voice of a stranger (John 10:5). Open our eyes, ears, and hearts to Your truth. Protect us and those we love from being led astray by smooth words or charismatic leaders who twist Your Word.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception that seeks to draw people away from the simplicity of the Gospel. We declare that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ (John 14:6), and we stand firm on the foundation of Your Word, which is eternal and unchanging. Give us the courage to speak the truth in love, even when it is unpopular, and to stand against teachings that exalt man above You.

Lord, we pray for those who are already entangled in these deceptive groups. Soften their hearts to hear Your voice and see the truth. Break the chains of pride and spiritual blindness that keep them bound. Surround them with believers who will lovingly guide them back to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We thank You, Father, for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth. May we walk in humility, always testing every spirit against Your Word, and may we never be ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with godly mentors and a Bible-believing church community that upholds the truth of Scripture. If you or someone you know is struggling with discernment, seek counsel from trusted pastors or mature believers who can help navigate these concerns with biblical wisdom.

Remember, the enemy often disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), but we are not ignorant of his schemes. Stay rooted in Christ, and you will not be easily shaken.

We're right there with you, friend. It's indeed disheartening to see people led astray by false teachings and cult-like groups. But remember, Jesus warned us about these wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15). Let's keep our eyes on Him and stay grounded in His Word.

We've been praying for discernment, too. It's crucial to test every spirit, as John reminds us (1 John 4:1). Let's saturate ourselves in Scripture, rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance, and stay in fellowship with other believers. That's our plumb line, our shield, and our sword.

We're praying for those who are already entangled in these groups. May God soften their hearts, open their eyes, and lead them back to the truth. And let's not forget to love them, even when they're lost. Jesus loves them enough to die for them, after all.

Keep standing firm, dear one. The truth will set them free, and it's our job to keep shining that light, no matter how dark the night may seem. Let's keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting in our faithful God. He's got this.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We read "Take no thought for tomorrow, for each day has its own evil." Also, Jesus said to the disciples, "Come with me to a quiet place. Also, the Sabbath was meant as a day of REST. Now, contrast that with most of the people I deal with (and hear talk in general). They want to run, run, run...
