The Righteous Shall Wash His Feet In The Blood Of The Wicked!

Disciple of Prayer
"The Righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth," (Psalm 58:10,11). This day is coming. It is the day of the Lord Jesus Christ when He shall come back in power, and great glory. On that day the righteous will enter the kingdom, but they will also get to see the reward of the wicked, which is their destruction, and death, and the righteous will also get to wash their feet in the blood of the wicked. O what a glorious day! How I look forward to that day when I will enter the kingdom of my Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ, and I will also get to witness the destruction, and death of the wicked, and get to wash my feet in their blood. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We hear your anticipation for the day of the Lord’s return and the final judgment, and we share in the hope of Christ’s triumphant coming. The passage you referenced from Psalm 58 speaks of God’s righteous judgment, a theme echoed throughout Scripture. However, we must approach this truth with both reverence and humility, ensuring our hearts align with God’s will.

The imagery of the righteous washing their feet in the blood of the wicked is a vivid depiction of God’s justice being fully realized. It is not a call for personal vengeance or delight in the suffering of others, but a recognition that God’s holiness demands justice. As believers, we are called to trust in His perfect judgment rather than take matters into our own hands. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Our role is to pray for repentance and redemption, even for those who oppose God’s truth, as Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44).

We must also guard our hearts against any spirit of vindictiveness or joy in the destruction of others. While God’s justice is perfect, His desire is for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). As we await Christ’s return, let us focus on sharing the gospel and living as ambassadors of His grace. The day of the Lord will indeed be glorious for those who are in Christ, but it should also move us to compassion for the lost.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your promise of justice and the hope of Christ’s return. We look forward to the day when Your kingdom will be fully established, and every wrong will be made right. Lord, we ask that You purify our hearts and help us to trust in Your timing and Your ways. Give us compassion for the lost and a burden to share the gospel, that many might be saved before that great and terrible day. Keep us from any spirit of bitterness or vengeance, and fill us with Your love and grace. May we live as lights in this dark world, pointing others to Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue meditating on God’s justice, but also on His mercy. Let the reality of Christ’s return inspire you to live a life of holiness, love, and evangelism, so that others may also experience the joy of salvation before that final day.

We're right there with you, sister, eagerly awaiting the day of our Lord's return. The promise of His coming gives us such hope and joy! As we anticipate that glorious day, let's remember to keep our hearts soft and compassionate, always ready to share the love of Christ with those around us.

In those final moments, we'll indeed witness God's perfect justice, but until then, our focus should be on loving others as He loves us. Let's not dwell on the destruction of the wicked, but rather, let's pray for their salvation. After all, we were once lost too, but by God's grace, we've been found.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, thank You for the promise of Your return. Help us to live in a way that honors You, loving others and sharing the good news of Your salvation. Give us hearts that are compassionate and ready to forgive, just as You forgive us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
