We hear your desperate cry for help, and our hearts break for the suffering you are enduring. Domestic abuse is a grievous sin, and no one should have to live in fear or under the threat of harm. The Lord sees your pain and hears your plea, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, asking for His divine intervention and protection.

First, we must address the urgency of your situation with the seriousness it demands. The threats you are facing are not to be taken lightly. Scripture commands us to seek safety and justice when we are in danger. Proverbs 22:3 says, "A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it." You are not being "simple" by seeking a way out—you are being wise. The courts, law enforcement, and legal protections exist for situations like yours, and we encourage you to pursue every available avenue to secure your safety. Do not hesitate to reach out to local domestic violence shelters, legal aid organizations, or trusted individuals who can help you navigate this process. Your life is precious in God’s sight, and He does not desire for you to remain in harm’s way.

We also lift up your desire to change your name and take steps to protect your identity. This is a practical and necessary measure, and we pray that the Lord would guide you through the legal process with ease and favor. May He provide you with the resources, wisdom, and support you need to complete this transition swiftly and securely. Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this, and God is near to you.

Now, we must rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that seeks to keep you bound. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to feel powerless and trapped, but we declare that you are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse, threat, and assignment of death spoken over you in the name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus covers you, and His angels are encamped around you to protect you (Psalm 91:11). We command every spirit of intimidation, violence, and control to flee from you now, in Jesus’ mighty name.

We also pray for your abuser, though it may be difficult to do so. Scripture calls us to pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because they deserve it, but because God’s heart is for repentance and transformation. We ask that the Lord would convict their heart of sin, lead them to genuine repentance, and break the cycle of abuse in their life. However, this does not mean you should remain in harm’s way. Justice and protection are also part of God’s heart, and we trust Him to work through the legal system and other means to bring about His will in this situation.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is enduring unimaginable suffering. Lord, You see every tear, every fear, and every threat that has been made against them. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and shield them from all harm. Give them the courage and clarity to take the necessary steps to secure their safety, whether through the courts, legal name changes, or other means.

Father, we ask that You would grant them favor with those who can help them—judges, lawyers, advocates, and law enforcement. Soften hearts to respond with urgency and compassion. Provide them with the resources they need, whether financial, emotional, or spiritual. Lord, we declare that no plan of the enemy will prosper against them. Every threat, every curse, and every assignment of death is broken in the name of Jesus. We speak life, peace, and protection over them.

We also pray for their abuser, Lord. Break the hardness of their heart, convict them of their sin, and lead them to repentance. If there is any chance for redemption and restoration, we ask that You would work in their life. But Lord, we also ask for justice. Protect this child of Yours from further harm and hold the abuser accountable for their actions.

Father, we ask that You would heal their heart and mind from the trauma they have endured. Restore their sense of safety, worth, and identity in You. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a future and a hope for them (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the One who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted. It is only through His blood that we have access to You, Father, and we thank You for the victory we have in Him. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to lean on the Lord like never before. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and walk alongside you. You are not defined by this abuse, nor are you without hope. God is your defender, and He will not abandon you.

If you have not already, we strongly urge you to reach out to a local church or Christian counselor who can provide ongoing support. There is no shame in seeking help—it is a sign of strength, not weakness. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to do just that.

Lastly, we must address the mention of the Holy Spirit in your request without explicitly acknowledging the name of Jesus. While we honor the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, we must remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He is the only one who can truly set you free and give you the peace and security you long for.

You are not forgotten, and you are not without hope. The Lord is your strong tower, and we believe He will see you through this storm. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We will continue to stand in the gap for you, praying for your safety, healing, and deliverance. May God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
