Acts 18:9 (MSG)
One night the Master (God) spoke to Paul in a dream: "Keep it up, and don't let anyone intimidate or silence you."

The perfect pastor? There remains only one. Peter's story was a perfect example that. Peter was by no means perfect, yet, through remorseful repentance, he was still exalted to fulfill Jesus's purpose of building God's church. Peter didn't get an attitude at Jesus's rebuke, he humbled himself in the face of the perfect Pastor.

Many pastors have taken to the following text, out of context, in response to me:

Acts 3:6 (NKJV)

⁶Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."

I have never called any preacher a false prophet; I don't have to. God knows who they are. But, even as pastors, you must admit that you're not perfect, not as an opportunity to justify your wrongdoing; but, to humble yourselves in the presence of His perfection. Keep reading (keep it in context)...

Acts 3:7 (NKJV)

And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. ⁸So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them--walking, leaping, and praising God.

But, because "Open rebuke is better than love hidden." Therefore, I pray. LORD continue to rebuke the shepherds in this city who twist the scriptures; those who know what's right to do, but do it not. Rebuke also those who have the means to bless; but, in hiding love, blesseth not according to your requirements. Even cheating You, by failing to properly honor You: presenting instead flawed, begrudged offerings. The LORD rebuke you. In Jesus's name. Amen.

Please don't accuse me of not asking, not knowing how to ask, or not recognizing the proverbial "boat." God has been responding to this city, as He has, because He knows the details.

Yes, you can be all that, and a bag of chips. Already exalted in your calling, and God will use a so-called "nobody" to rebuke your wrongdoing. Not unlike "King" David, to whom God sent the lesser esteemed, prophet Nathan, to reprove and pronounce punishment:

2 Samuel 12:10 (NLT)

From this time on, your family will live by the sword because you have despised me by taking Uriah’s wife to be your own.

David's response, to God's accusation of theft, was not directed toward Nathan. But, in remorse over his own behavior, he turned to God in repentant prayer. David changed his ways.

Do you really have no silver and gold, in this vast multitude of mega churches, to restore this elder woman of God and prophetess? Careful. If you're robbing Him of His praise, He will make those claims so.

Acts 3 (NKJV) ⁹And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

As disciples, and even more so, as shepherds, you were supposed to prepare a place for me and provide protection for this fellow servant.

You've witnessed His power. Just think of the rewards, had this city invested her efforts in loving and blessing this homeless-elder woman of God, rather than attacking His Spirit.

But, the good news is this, not only is He the only wise God, He's also undefeated. If I'm outside, your team's fans aren't the only ones who can see me; your opponents can see me as well. But, rather than adding insult to injury, they generally show up and bless.

No, you're not perfect pastors. But, as His top representatives, you, above all others, are to strive to be more like THE PERFECT PASTOR everyday. Be the example.

Thank You LORD for Your continued righteous guidance in this ministry.
