Beloved Warrior
WHATEVER THEY TELL YOU TO OBSERVE, THAT OBSERVE AND DO, BUT DO NOT DO ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS,
FOR THEY SAY, AND DO NOT DO.
MATTHEW 23:3
A GOOD EXAMPLE PREACHES A POWERFUL SERMON.
"Do as I say, not as I do"
I remember not so long ago, when the Lord's Day was respected. My heart is saddened by the common trend to make it a day for personal shopping and anything but worship of the Lord.
According to some in seats of power, they no longer represent a Christian nation. They choose, instead, to court false gods, mainly themselves, and are beginning to look more like the old Roman overseers of the time of Christ. Yet, Jesus said, we must obey what these false rulers and abominators make into our laws of the land. We must remember that the God we love, will not ignore His sheep. Try as they may to replace Him, with the wisdom of this world.
The day draws nigh when His wrath from above will be unfurled on those who lead others astray.
I remember not so long ago, when businesses respected, the Lord's Day. It was called "blue laws". They closed their doors for a Day of Rest. Church bells rang, and people knew God's children were worshipping. Families spent time together.
But now they complain we expect too much if we risk a "God bless you".
I close with the following Scripture selection, and pray that you will consider the Lord's message.
"He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
