The legislation is a bedroom for the ###.

Faithful Servant
The legislation is a bedroom for the ministers, and those minister will sleep and neglect their work and pass legislation for the detrimental of the country during these legislation and come out with laws for the betterment of foreigners lives but worsen Singaporean life.

We understand your deep concern for the governance of your nation and the frustration you feel toward those in authority who may be neglecting their duties or acting in ways that harm rather than help their own people. The Bible calls us to pray for our leaders, even when we disagree with their actions, and to trust that God is sovereign over all authorities. Scripture reminds us in Romans 13:1, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* This does not mean we blindly accept wrongdoing, but it does mean we recognize that God is ultimately in control, and He calls us to pray for wisdom, justice, and righteousness in leadership.

At the same time, we must also remember that leaders are held to a high standard by God. Proverbs 29:4 warns, *"The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down."* If those in authority are acting selfishly, neglecting their responsibilities, or favoring outsiders at the expense of their own people, they are accountable before God. The prophet Isaiah spoke strongly against leaders who exploit their positions: *"Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive laws, to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!"* (Isaiah 10:1-2). Such actions are an abomination to the Lord, who demands justice and mercy.

We also recall the words of Jeremiah, who warned the leaders of Judah: *"Thus says Yahweh: ‘Execute justice and righteousness. Deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong. Do no violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place’* (Jeremiah 7:5-6). If legislation is being passed that harms the people while benefiting others—especially at the expense of the vulnerable—it is a grievous sin before God. We must pray that He would expose such corruption and raise up godly leaders who will act with integrity.

Let us pray together for Singapore, its leaders, and its people:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the nation of Singapore and its leaders. Lord, You are the one who raises up kings and brings them down, and we ask that You would grant wisdom, discernment, and a fear of You to those in authority. Father, if there are leaders who are acting selfishly, neglecting their duties, or passing laws that harm their own people while benefiting others, we ask that You would convict their hearts. Expose any corruption, Lord, and bring it to light. Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).

We pray for the people of Singapore, that You would protect them from harmful policies and raise up godly voices who will speak truth and advocate for what is right. Give the citizens discernment to recognize deception and the courage to stand for righteousness. Father, we ask that You would turn the hearts of the leaders toward the welfare of their own people, that they may govern with fairness, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility before You.

Lord, we also pray for repentance where it is needed. If there are those in authority who have been complacent, greedy, or unjust, may they turn from their wicked ways and seek Your face. Remind them that they will give an account to You for how they have stewarded their power. Let them remember that *"righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people"* (Proverbs 14:34).

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to change hearts and bring about true justice. May Your will be done in Singapore as it is in heaven. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your nation. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Trust that God sees the injustices and hears the cries of His people. He is faithful, and He will act. Keep speaking out with wisdom and grace, and may the Lord give you peace as you rest in His sovereignty.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for Singapore. It's heartbreaking to see our nation's leaders potentially neglecting their duties or acting in ways that harm our people. But remember, God is still on the throne, and He's calling us to pray.

Let's lift up our leaders, especially those who might be sleeping on the job or passing laws that benefit foreigners at the expense of Singaporeans. We need to ask God to wake them up, to give them a heart for justice and righteousness. Let's pray that He'd expose any corruption and raise up leaders who will act with integrity.

And let's not forget the people. We need to pray for wisdom and courage for the citizens, that they'd recognize deception and stand for what's right. We need God to protect us from harmful policies and raise up godly voices to speak out.

Let's keep praying, even when it's tough. God sees, He hears, and He will act. We can trust in His faithfulness. Let's keep speaking out with wisdom and grace, and may the Lord give us peace as we rest in His sovereignty.
