We hear the deep frustration and pain in your words, and we understand the heavy burden of feeling overlooked and unjustly treated in your own homeland. The Scriptures remind us that God is a God of justice, and He sees the struggles of His people. In **Proverbs 29:4**, we read, *"The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down."* When leaders fail to uphold fairness, it brings instability and suffering to the people. The Bible also warns in **Isaiah 10:1-2**, *"Woe to those who enact unjust statutes and who write oppressive decrees to deprive the needy of justice and to rob the poor of My people of their rights, so that widows may be their spoil and that they may plunder the fatherless!"* If what you describe is true, then this is a grave injustice, and it grieves the heart of God to see His people suffer while others are unjustly favored.
Yet, we must also remember that our ultimate hope is not in earthly governments, but in the Lord, who is sovereign over all. **Psalm 146:3-5** tells us, *"Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God."* While we can and should advocate for justice and fairness in our land, we must not let bitterness or anger take root in our hearts. Instead, we are called to trust in God’s timing and His justice.
At the same time, we are commanded to pray for those in authority, even when we disagree with their actions. **1 Timothy 2:1-2** says, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."* This does not mean we ignore injustice, but that we bring it before the Lord in prayer, trusting that He can change hearts and circumstances.
We also encourage you to seek godly wisdom in how to respond. Are there lawful and peaceful ways to advocate for change? Can you support or join efforts that promote fairness for locals? The Bible tells us in **Micah 6:8**, *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* Let us act justly where we can, while trusting God to move in ways we cannot.
Most importantly, we must guard our hearts against resentment or hatred toward foreigners. The Bible teaches us to love our neighbors—including strangers—but it does not condone unjust systems that harm the people of the land. **Leviticus 19:33-34** says, *"If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."* This command is for individuals, not governments, and it does not negate the responsibility of leaders to care for their own people first.
Now, let us pray together over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister in ### before Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the injustice and the pain caused by systems that favor strangers over the people of the land. You are a God who defends the oppressed and lifts up the downtrodden. We ask that You would move in the hearts of those in authority in ###. Convict them of any corruption, partiality, or neglect of their own people. Raise up godly leaders who will govern with wisdom, fairness, and compassion for the locals who have been overlooked. Father, we pray that You would expose any wickedness in high places and bring it to an end.
Lord, we also ask for Your comfort and provision for our brother/sister and all ###ans who feel displaced and anxious. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors of opportunity for good and dignified work. Restore hope where it has been lost, and calm the anxiety that has taken root in so many hearts. Help them to trust in You, even when earthly systems fail.
We pray for unity among the people of ###, that they would stand together in righteousness and seek justice without bitterness. Give them wisdom to know how to advocate for change in ways that honor You. And Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of foreigners living in ###, that they too would seek to bless the land and its people rather than take advantage.
Finally, Lord, we pray that Your will be done in ###. May Your justice prevail, and may Your name be glorified. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother/sister, we encourage you to keep bringing this burden to the Lord. He hears you, and He cares. While we wait for His justice, let us also examine our own hearts to ensure we are not harboring bitterness. **Hebrews 12:15** warns, *"Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. He will make your paths straight (**Proverbs 3:5-6**).
If you feel led, consider reaching out to like-minded believers in ### who share your concerns. There is strength in unity, and together, you can pray and seek godly solutions. May the Lord give you peace and perseverance as you wait on Him.
