The Fire of God (Oct 5th)

Verse
From the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder. And in front of the throne were seven torches with burning flames. This is the sevenfold Spirit of God.

Revelation 4:5 nlt

Thought
Glory! If we read all of Revelation 4, we are given a picture of God's glorious presence. The description is awesome and really beyond imagining. The focus, however, is clear: God is worthy and holy to receive honor and power. He holds the future in his hands. He is ruler over those who reign on earth whether they acknowledge him or not. A vital part of this scene is always the presence of God himself, our Father in heaven, our Lord Jesus who reigns, and the perfect Holy Spirit who lights our way through the darkness. Let's take a minute and give our praise and thanks to our Almighty God who has revealed himself to us and given up himself for us and makes his presence available to us.

Prayer
O God, thank you for your perfection. Please receive my heartfelt words of thanksgiving and praise ... In Jesus' name and through the Spirit's intercession and to the Father's glory, I offer my thanks and praise. Amen.
