The End Is Near

Philippians 4:5​

Dear Father, victorious deliverer,
Everything points to the fact that we live in the last days, so let me not waste time sleeping.
Salvation is nearer now than when I first believed. The night is far gone. The day is at hand.
Help me cast off all the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Let me conduct myself as becomes one of your people, not in reveling or drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in quarreling or jealousy.
Rather let me put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provisions for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

While the end is obviously nearer now than when we first believed ,at the same time we can't 100% pinpoint how near.We see the general signs["There shall be earthquakes and wars and rumours of wars and distress upon nations".But to put the exact time time into a time frame..uh-uh. How many times have I heard televangelists say,"Oh beloved,I don't see how we can have more than {fill in time} and that time has long since passed , and we're still here.Some have even set dates!{Which have come and gone,by many years", and to me , it not only makes them look foolish, but it makes the unbelievers even more cynical.Jesus said,"Now concerning that day,no man knows the day or the hour, neither the angels in Heaven or the Son, but only the Father.""These things must happen, but the end is not yet."Not that you did that, but while on the subject...when someone sets a date , and it doesn't happen that way,obviously it's not that God gave him that information, but that they calculated in through human calculations.
