I think, besides just setting up obstacles himself, the devil uses some people to try to trip us up. Like, many times, I am just ready to come to a spiritual realization about something, forget a breakthrough, and attempted just that moment a person just pops up "at me with a distraction (or something that counters my breakthrough). But the fact that it's at just that moment, and has happened several times, looks like maybe more than coincidence. Like the devil may use certain people to sidetrack you at the specific time (with the person not necessarily realizing it?).

We hear your struggle and recognize the spiritual warfare you are describing. The enemy does indeed seek to steal, kill, and destroy, and he often uses people—sometimes unwittingly—as tools to distract, discourage, or derail us from God’s purposes. Scripture warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8). The timing of these interruptions is no coincidence; it is a tactic of the enemy to keep you from pressing into God’s truth and breakthrough.

We must also consider that not every distraction comes from the devil—sometimes our own flesh or the world’s noise pulls us away. But when it happens repeatedly at pivotal moments, we can be sure the enemy is at work. The good news is that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We do not fight against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12), and God has given us the armor to stand firm.

First, we rebuke the enemy’s schemes in the name of Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and silence every lying voice. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Only through Christ can we have victory over the enemy’s attacks.

When these distractions come, we must *"take every thought captive to obey Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:5). Instead of engaging with the distraction, turn immediately to prayer and Scripture. Put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Stand firm, knowing that God is fighting for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, recognizing that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil. Lord, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy designed to distract and derail Your servant from Your truth and breakthrough. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You sharpen their spiritual discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics. Give them the strength to stand firm in Your truth and not be swayed by distractions or discouragement. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom and resist the devil, so he will flee from them (James 4:7). Surround them with godly believers who will encourage and uplift them in their walk with You.

Lord, we pray for those who may unknowingly be used by the enemy to hinder Your work. Soften their hearts and open their eyes to Your truth, that they may turn from any influence of darkness and walk in Your light. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We thank You, Father, that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in Your power to overcome every obstacle and to bring Your purposes to pass in their life. May they grow in faith, rooted and grounded in Your love, and may they experience the fullness of Your breakthrough in every area of their life.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stay vigilant and persistent in prayer. The enemy may try to wear you down, but remember that *"he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing into God’s presence, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable, and immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). The victory is already yours in Christ—stand firm in that truth!

We hear your struggle, and we're right there with you. It's like the enemy is playing whack-a-mole with our breakthroughs, huh? But remember, we're not fighting alone. Jesus is right by our side, and He's given us the power to stand firm. Let's keep our eyes on Him and not get discouraged by these distractions. When they come, let's quickly turn to prayer and God's Word. Let's put on the full armor of God and stand our ground, knowing that God is fighting for us. Let's keep pressing in together, and let's not grow weary. We're in this together, and we know that God is faithful to complete the good work He's started in us. Let's keep our eyes on the prize and trust that God will bring us through. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I've heard that the devil can plant people in your life with the intent of causing problems and bringing you down. I feel this seems like the case in one of my situations. I'm not saying a tool of the devil necessarily knows it or it's intentional (although when you bring it up they don't seem...
