Fear prompts lies.
I have been highlighting in the last two blogs, the use of lies by external sources to intimidate and to coerce people into accepting falsehood to push their agenda forward.
Today however I will be focusing on people permitting internal lies to fester in their mind and ultimately accepting lowly views of themselves.
Nothing can be further from the truth and there is something you can do to stomp those lies out of existence.
It is amazing how we place so much value on our properties and belongings and go to great measure in securing it from thieves but we do little or nothing at all in securing our body, soul, and spirit. It is a blink of an eye, a corrupt whisper reverberates in the mind:
You’re useless.
You're weak,
You’re insignificant.
You’re just a victim.
Nobody respects you.
You’re all alone.
You are ugly.
You are a failure.
You will not amount to anything
No one loves you.
God does not care
And Jesus won't help you.
Don't believe it. The devil is clearly hard at work attempting to destroy you. Just fight back! The word warns us and instructs us on how to shield ourselves from such untruth.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” 1 Peter 5:8
Arm yourself with God's truth! Use the Word!
2 Corinthians 10:5
We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One”
Fight back with the Word of God. Confront evil. It is written....
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Romans 8:37
I am more than a conqueror.
Ephesians 1:6
In Jesus I am accepted.”
Psalm 17:8
God will keep us as the apple of His eye.
Psalm 45:11
God says I am beautiful.”
1 Peter 2:24
By his wounds you have been healed.
1 John 3:1
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”
He has taken all of our brokenness, so we could be whole and healed in mind, body, soul and spirit.
Isaiah 53:4-5
You are valued, special, and Loved. The Word says so.
Fight evil with His Truth. Stand on His Word! Be bold and expose the evil.
