The enemy would love nothing more than to use this situation to draw your son away from the truth, and we must stand firm in prayer against that deception.
We also take hold of the promise in 1 Corinthians 7:14, which you referenced, that your son is sanctified by your faith. This is a powerful truth—your prayers and your stand for righteousness have a spiritual impact on his life. But we must also recognize that sanctification is a process, and your son is still in need of God’s grace to walk in the freedom and truth of Christ. We pray that You would soften the hearts of his mother and stepfather, that they would come to know You as Lord and Savior. If it is Your will, restore this family under Your covering, but if not, we ask that You would provide godly influences in his life—mentors, friends, or even a church family—that would speak truth into his life. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in holiness. Surround him with believers who will encourage him in his faith and hold him accountable.
Lord, we also lift up this mother’s heart. We know the pain of being separated from a child, especially when it feels like the enemy is gaining ground. Strengthen her faith, Lord. Remind her that You are a God who restores, who redeems, and who makes all things new. Give her peace that surpasses understanding as she continues to intercede for her son. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when she cannot see the outcome.
We declare over this young man that he is not abandoned, he is not forgotten, and he is not beyond Your reach. The blood of Jesus covers him, and we speak life, truth, and righteousness over his spirit. May he come to know the depth of Your love for him and the power of the cross to set him free.
