The awakening, by the acceptance within ones own self. One must come to realize, there comes a time
when one cries out...ENOUGH! One comes to terms with the real world we live in, and that any peace and well being must begin with ones own self, ( Amen ) any guarantee of happiness begins with ones own self...and in the process a sense of serenity is born of acceptance. We awake to the fact we are not perfect and that not everyone will always love, appreciate or approve of who or what we are about....
and that is OK. Each are entitled to their own views and opinions, and we learn the importance of loving and championing ones own self...and in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval. We stop complaining and blaming other people, and learn that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected. We learn that people don't always say what they mean or mean what they say and that everyone will not always be there for us, so we learn to stand on our own...and in the process a sense of safety and security is born self-reliance. We stop judging and pointing fingers and accept people as they are, we all have shortcomings and human frailties...and in the process a sense of peace and contentment is born of forgiveness. We learn to begin reassessing and redefining who and what we really stand for. We learn that principles such as honesty and integrity is the mortar that holds together the foundation which one must build a life. We learn to
distinguish between guilt and responsibility. We learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as we would have them to be. We stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes, and we learn that alone does not mean lonely. We learn that feelings of entitlement are OK...it is our right
to want or need things and we deserve to be treated with love, kindness and respect...for much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy. We learn life isn't always going to be fair and that often bad things happen to unsuspecting, good people. We learn God isn't punishing us or failing to answer a prayer, it's just life happening. We learn to be thankful and take comfort in many of the simple things we take for granted, for many have not that pleasure. Slowly we begin to take responsibility for ourselves and keep smiling and trusting with courage in our heart and God by our side, and we begin to design and build a life we want to live as best we know how.
For over 5 decades I lived in the fast lane, without a spiritual or God filled life...life caught up with my ways, and I came crashing down. Experience in this life, yes, I have learned some important steps in the past 2 decades...by the grace of God, a profound spiritual event that has forever changed my life. The lessons of life's experiences are of great value, if one has learned the lessons well to enhance a better quality of life.
I am still learning each day, but by the grace of God, there is a peace within, and much more to learn. Know this and know it well...Acceptance Brings About The Awakening...Believe It. Praise God.
