We hear the deep concern and urgency in your words, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before the throne of God. The behavior you describe is indeed troubling, and we recognize the weight of responsibility you carry in this moment. We pray first and foremost for protection—for this individual, for you, and for anyone else who may be affected by this situation. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, addiction, or violence that may be at work in this person’s life. Your Word declares that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We stand on that promise now, declaring that no weapon formed against this individual or those around them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, dear brother or sister. If this person is under the influence of substances or spiritual oppression, we ask that You grant clarity and strength to respond in a way that aligns with Your will. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. We surrender this situation to You, asking that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If this individual is a believer, we pray for conviction and repentance. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we ask that You draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6). We declare that the power of the Holy Spirit is greater than any bondage, and we speak freedom over this person’s life in Jesus’ name (1 John 4:4).
Lastly, we pray for restraint and self-control, both for this individual and for those who may need to intervene. May no harm come to anyone, and may this situation be resolved in a way that brings glory to God. We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, and we ask that You work all things together for good according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
