Hello all I hope and pray your Thanksgiving was a blessed and joyful day. I know how hard it can be being apart from your beloved spouse. I am going to share how my day went before I start this post. I was invited to my sisters home for Thanksgiving and so was my wife and the other man. I assured my wife I am okay with them coming and I will be fine. She said she didn't want to ruin my day or my birthday since yesterday was my birthday (and also my wife's birthday) she wanted to make sure my day was good. I did tell her she wouldn't ruin my day but she said she knew she wouldn't but he will. My wife did end up texting me allot yesterday asking about the kids and the family. It was obvious she was missing the family. Her day was not a good one she found out a member of her family past away and she ended up spending her birthday and thanksgiving at home without family. My heart broke for her and I shared with her how I wish I could do or say something to help her, but I knew nothing i could say would help. So I just prayed for her much of the day, praying God would encounter her and show her how real He is. Then towards the end of the night I get a text from someone I do not know the number to and it was a picture of my wife and the other man in a way that should not be shared with public. Not x rated mind you but pretty clearly not in a public setting. the caption of the photo was Happy Birthday and happy thanksgiving. I know who sent it and then I sent the picture to my wife asking why and who would send this to me. She had no answer at first then after a few minutes came up with excuses. I knew she was covering for the person and then she got mad at me for asking about it. I told her I know it wasn't her fault and I am not mad, then I said I know you have had a bad enough day and I am going to drop it. She did admit how screwed up it was that someone did that, but then expressed how she doesn't care.
At first I was very upset but then God shared something with me. He said this is an attack of a desperate person who obviously feels threatened by her husbands stand. I sent a text to the person who sent me the picture saying "who ever this is I hope God blesses you and I am praying for you" they responded with ummm...thank you. And then I dropped it and did not talk about it again. I will not lie this did hurt but I noticed one thing in that picture. The pain in my wife's eyes, the unhappiness she had in her eyes said more than words could say. She is not happy and needs God more than ever. The last thing she said about it was its just a picture, and I agreed it is just a picture. There was no love in that picture nothing but sadness and desperation.
Now with that said I gave thanks to God because that attack from the enemy proved to me that the enemy is getting desperate and so is the other person, (no the other man is not my enemy, Christ died for his sins as well, if anything I feel love for him because he is just as lost as my wife is). I do ask for more prayer for my wife in this as she is losing her own life to sin and refuses to see it, I pray God will speak to her and bring salvation for her life so she can be saved and receive eternal life with Christ Jesus. I even pray the same for the other man.
Now lets get to the post,
Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. What does he want to destroy? Our faith. the devil knows that it is impossible for us to please God without faith. Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." ​ What better way for the devil to win than to take away our faith. However the devil is hoping we lack in knowledge of Gods word Isaiah 5:13 "Therefore my people go into exile for lack of knowledge; their honored men go hungry, and their multitude is parched with thirst.". Because of Gods word we know that faith is given to us by Jesus Hebrews 12:2 "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." We know because of our knowledge of the word that the devil can not take away our faith of what God has told us. God has told us many times and different ways that our marriages will be restored and made new in him. In fact even Gods word speaks of restoration many times. Acts 3: 19-21 "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago." And Joel 2: 25-26 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.". And there are many more in fact I think you should do a word study on that word in the bible Restoration, God speaks of it many times.
Well we know God is for marriage and as he says in Malachi 2:16 "I hate divorce,†says the God of Israel. God-of-the-Angel-Armies says, “I hate the violent dismembering of the ‘one flesh’ of marriage.†So watch yourselves. Don’t let your guard down. Don’t cheat. We know God will not allow anything he hates to destroy His children who have faith in Him. And we know that when God says He will do something he will do it, in His perfect timing. We must be patient and trust in Him completely. And while we wait we must serve God with a full heart and obedience. And when God restores our marriages we must shout it from the roof tops what he has done. Because as it says in ​Revelation 12:11 "And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.". The devil does not want that testimony of what God has done in our lives to reach the ears of people. It will bring more people to God than you know. God is moving in our marriages and things are coming very very soon. Do not give up and do not doubt no matter what you see, because God is the God of love, restoration, truth, peace, and the God of impossible.
Just remember when the attacks get worse that's proof that the end of the trail is coming because the devil is getting desperate and pulling out all the stops to get you to give up. Don't believe me go read the book of Job and see how bad things got just before God gave back everything to Job and then some.
In short every time something bad happens I want you to start thinking of the blessing God has giving to you in your life. And speak them out loud and watch the devil flee quickly once he sees your not giving into the tricks. Be strong I promise you that your marriage will be restored. Every day should be a day of thanksgiving to God for all He has done.
