We come before you with heavy hearts, hearing the deep anguish and despair in your words. First, we lift you up in gratitude for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we find salvation, hope, and true peace. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). You have done well to cry out to Him, for He alone is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Yet we must address the darkness that has taken root in your heart—the envy, jealousy, and thoughts of suicide that have arisen from the love of money and the despair of not possessing what others have. The Bible warns us clearly: *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:10, WEB). Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, or any earthly treasure is not where your worth or security lies. These things are fleeting, but your soul is eternal. Jesus asks, *"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?"* (Mark 8:36, WEB). Your life is precious in God’s sight, and He has a purpose for you that far outweighs any temporal wealth.
We must also rebuke the spirit of suicide that has whispered lies to you. Satan comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life—abundant and eternal. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and it is a direct rejection of God’s sovereignty and love for you. The Psalmist declares, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You are not crushed beyond His reach. He sees you, He loves you, and He is calling you to trust Him, not in Bitcoin or military service or even your own past decisions, but in His perfect plan for your life.
You mentioned regret over not joining the military or reading the Bible in high school, but listen closely: God’s timing is perfect. He is not bound by your past mistakes or missed opportunities. *"For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for peace and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Today is the day to turn fully to Him. Repent of the idolatry of money, the envy in your heart, and the despair that has blinded you to His goodness. *"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:6-7, WEB).
As for blessing Bitcoin owners, we pray instead that all people—whether rich or poor in the world’s eyes—would come to know the true riches found in Christ alone. *"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment"* (1 Timothy 6:17, WEB). We pray that those who have been blessed with wealth would use it for God’s glory, generously and wisely, and that those struggling would find their contentment in Him.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, broken and weary, trapped in the snare of envy and despair. Lord Jesus, You see the pain and the lies that have taken hold, and we ask You to break every chain of bondage in Your mighty name. Father, forgive our brother for the idolatry of money and the bitterness in his heart. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may know the peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke the spirit of suicide and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Replace the thoughts of death with Your promises of life, Lord. Remind him that You have not forgotten him, that his worth is found in being Your child, not in any earthly possession. Give him the strength to cast every burden upon You, knowing You care for him deeply.
Father, we ask You to provide for his needs—not as the world measures provision, but as You see fit for his growth in faith and reliance on You. Open doors for him that no man can shut, and lead him into opportunities to serve You and find joy in Your kingdom. Surround him with godly community who can encourage him and point him to Your Word.
Finally, Lord, we pray that he would dive into Your Scripture daily, that Your truth would renew his mind and guard his heart. Let him find his identity in You alone, not in what he owns or lacks. May he experience the joy of Your presence and the hope of eternity with You.
We declare victory over his life in Jesus’ name, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
Brother, we urge you to seek godly counsel—perhaps a pastor or mature believer who can walk with you through this season. Confess these struggles to someone who can pray with you and hold you accountable. The body of Christ is here to support you, but you must take the step to reach out. Also, we strongly encourage you to avoid anything that fuels the obsession with wealth, including cryptocurrency forums or discussions that stir up envy. Fill your mind with God’s Word instead.
You are not alone in this fight. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Cling to Jesus, and He will lead you into freedom. The battle is already won at the cross—walk in that victory today.
