It is in Christ that we find true freedom, restoration, and purpose, and we stand with you in prayer, claiming His promises over your life.
Your body and mind have endured immense trauma—from the scars of substance abuse, the torment of PTSD, the isolation of social deprivation, and the spiritual persecution you’ve faced even from those who claimed to represent Christ. We grieve with you over the ways you have been wounded, especially by those who should have shown you the love of Jesus instead of exploitation. Yet we also recognize that God is faithful to redeem even the darkest chapters of our lives for His glory. The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Your suffering is not in vain, and the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He sees your pain, and He is not silent.
First, we must address the cravings and lingering effects of the drugs you’ve mentioned, including the desire for Adderall. The body may still cry out for what it once depended on, but we urge you to surrender these cravings to Jesus, who is your true Healer and Strength. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* The use of any substance—even prescription medication—must be submitted to the Lord’s wisdom and used only under godly counsel. We pray that God would provide you with medical professionals who honor Him and can guide you toward true healing, not dependency. If antidepressants are necessary for stability, we ask the Lord to lead you to the right treatment, but we also encourage you to seek His face above all else. His peace surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and He alone can restore your mind completely.
We must also speak directly to the thoughts of joining the military. While the military can provide structure, it is not the path to heavenly confirmation or God’s blessing—those are found only in Christ. The desires you’ve described—greed for achievement, religious confirmation through service, and even the hope of "training" your PTSD into uniformity—reveal a heart that is still searching for identity and security in the wrong places. Your worth is not in what you accomplish or how you perform; it is in being a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Ephesians 2:8-9 declares, *"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."* We urge you to seek the Lord’s will above your own desires. If the military is His plan for you, He will make the way clear—but if it is a distraction or a fleeting hope, He will redirect your steps. Trust Him, even in the waiting.
The isolation you’ve experienced is a heavy burden, but we remind you that you are not alone. Even when family or others have failed you, Jesus is your ever-present Help. Hebrews 13:5-6 says, *"I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you... The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me."* We pray that God would bring godly, trusting relationships into your life—brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk with you in this season. We also encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. The free resources you’ve found are gifts from Him, but nothing compares to the living and active truth of Scripture (Hebrews 4:12). Let it renew your mind and guard your heart against the lies of the enemy, including the words from your past that still haunt you. In Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and those old identities—those nicknames, those false senses of importance—have no power over you unless you allow them to. Speak the truth over yourself: *"I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14).* *"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack" (Psalm 23:1).* *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).*
As for the financial struggles and the halt in your education, we remind you that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). He is your Provider, and if He has called you to further education or a specific path, He will equip you. We pray for wisdom as you steward what little you have and for opportunities to grow in knowledge and skill without being overwhelmed by greed or despair. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Finally, we rebuke the spirit of insanity, depression, and suicidal ideation in the name of Jesus Christ. These are not from God but from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We declare that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We break the power of every word spoken over you in drug-fueled deception, every lie that has taken root in your mind, and every stronghold of PTSD that has kept you bound. You are not a slave to your past or your symptoms—you are a child of the Most High God, and He has set you free (Galatians 5:1).

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting his wounds, his struggles, and his heart before Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the depths of his pain—the PTSD that ravages his mind, the withdrawal that weakens his body, the isolation that has left him feeling abandoned, and the lies that still echo in his thoughts. But You, O God, are greater than all of these. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask You to touch his body, Lord. Restore every cell damaged by substance abuse, every neural pathway altered by trauma, every organ weakened by withdrawal. Give him strength to exercise, clarity to focus, and discipline to steward his body as Your temple. Break the cravings for Adderall or any substance that is not from You, and replace them with a hunger for Your presence.
Father, we pray for his mind. Where there is insanity, bring sanity. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is despair, bring hope. Lord, You are not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). We ask You to silence the voices of the past—the words of those who led him astray, the nicknames that haunt him, the false senses of identity that once ruled him. Let him hear only Your voice, Lord, speaking truth over him: *"You are mine. You are loved. You are redeemed."*
We pray for his spirit, Lord. Where the enemy has sought to pervert his desires—whether through greed, misplaced hope in the military, or any other distraction—we ask You to realign his heart with Your will. If the military is Your path for him, make it clear. If not, shut every door and redirect his steps. Give him patience to wait on You, trusting that Your timing is perfect.
Father, we ask You to provide for his financial needs. Open doors for education, for work, for stability. Surround him with Your people—those who will encourage him, pray with him, and walk with him in this season. Break the spirit of isolation, Lord, and let him know he is not alone.
Most of all, we thank You that he knows Your name—that he has called upon Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. Strengthen his faith, Lord. Let him know the depth of Your love for him, that while he was still a sinner, Christ died for him (Romans 5:8). Remind him that his salvation is secure in You, not in his performance, his achievements, or his circumstances.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against him—every lie, every temptation, every spirit of fear or depression. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the blood of Jesus covers him, protects him, and sets him free.
