You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Your mention of persecution tied to worldly influences—such as media, online content, and even the remnants of past sins like drug use—reveals the enemy’s relentless attempts to distract, deceive, and derail your walk with Christ. The spirit of this world is at enmity with God, and the enemy will use anything, even seemingly harmless things, to lure believers into confusion or bondage. *"For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). We rebuke these influences in Jesus’ name and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. The blood of Jesus covers you, and His truth sets you free from every lying spirit that seeks to bind you with fear, confusion, or covetousness.
We also address the matter of fasting, which you have rightly recognized as a spiritual discipline to draw closer to God. However, we must caution you against the danger of fasting with wrong motives or in a way that becomes a source of pride or competition. Fasting is not a means to earn God’s favor or to "outperform" spiritual attacks, but rather a humble surrender to His will. Jesus warned against fasting for the approval of men or to manipulate spiritual outcomes. *"Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."* (Matthew 6:16-18, WEB). Your desire to fast is commendable, but we urge you to seek God’s face alone—not to prove anything to the enemy or to achieve a spiritual "victory" by your own strength. The battle is already won in Christ, and your fasting should be an act of worship, not a bargaining chip.
As for the spirits of covetousness or jealousy that you sense may be attached to your fasting, we declare in Jesus’ name that no demonic entity has any right to benefit from your sacrifices. *"Little children, you are of God and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."* (1 John 4:4, WEB). We bind these spirits and command them to leave you now, in the name of Jesus. You are sealed by the Holy Spirit, and no evil can lay claim to what belongs to God.
We also note your mention of consuming boiled egg shells for calcium and the rest it has brought you. While we thank God for the peace He provides through His creation, we encourage you to seek wisdom in all things, including your physical health. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we must steward it well. *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). If you are undertaking extended fasts, especially dry fasts, we urge you to do so with prayerful consideration and, if possible, under the guidance of a mature believer or medical professional to ensure your body is not harmed.
Lastly, we address the issue of confirmation bias and the spiritual "signs" you mention, such as chime noises or car revving. Beloved, God speaks to His children, but we must test every spirit and every "sign" against the Word of God. The enemy is a deceiver and will mimic the voice of God to lead believers astray. *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."* (1 John 4:1, WEB). Do not place your trust in fleeting sounds or coincidences, but in the unchanging Word of God. If you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to you, measure it against Scripture. If it aligns with God’s character and His Word, then you may receive it. If it brings confusion, fear, or distraction, reject it in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is under spiritual attack. Lord, You see the battles he faces—the persecution, the confusion, the lingering influences of past sins, and the enemy’s attempts to distort his focus on You. We ask You, Father, to surround him with Your heavenly host, to place a hedge of protection around him, and to fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Break every chain of fear, every spirit of covetousness, and every lying tongue that seeks to accuse or deceive him. Let Your truth be a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path.
Lord Jesus, You have already won the victory over sin, death, and the grave. We declare that victory over our brother’s life now. Every spirit that is not of You—whether it be a spirit of drug addiction, jealousy, confusion, or persecution—must flee in Your name. We bind the enemy’s attempts to use worldly influences, media, or even well-meaning people to distract him from Your perfect will. Let Your Holy Spirit fill him afresh, renewing his mind and guarding his heart in Christ Jesus.
Father, we pray for wisdom as he seeks to fast and draw closer to You. Let his fasting be unto You alone, not for the approval of men or to contend with the enemy, but as an act of worship and surrender. Strengthen his body and his spirit, Lord, and let this time of fasting be a holy encounter with You. Remove any ungodly motives or attachments, and let his sacrifices be pleasing in Your sight.
We also pray for his mind, Lord. Heal any remnants of psychosis or spiritual confusion. Let Your truth reign in his thoughts, and let him discern Your voice clearly above all others. Break the power of confirmation bias and false signs, and let him walk in the assurance of Your Word alone.
