My goal is 40 days of fasting. I'm on my 2nd day. I've read the gospel every day for about a week. I read the gospel and prayers for adderall in the closet. I believe that the closet is the smallest form of the church by faith. I hope that my next doctors appointment has me restart my adderall prescription. If there is an adderall shortage, I hope they prescribe me ritalin. I'm fasting in hopes that they prescribe me the medication because the free stimulant is helpful when I'm ### and without money. The coffee and diet coke that seems to be a reward from fasting is helpful. I've collected 37 days of fasting. I'm trying to complete an extended 40-day fast below 50 calories each day from hydration and supplements. I'm not sure how to describe a communication or behavioral disorder from wisdom teeth removal. I'm ###, without a drivers license, and I haven't really interacted with friends in 4 years because the chemical dependence class said to avoid drug connections. Fasting might be brought up at the doctors appointment, I pray God allows me to complete the 40 days of fasting and that others are not a temptation to end the fast. I'm afraid of side effects from reading some of the satanic bible. I hope the coffee is refilled, and medicine is supplied. God, I'm thankful for the current providence.

We hear your heart in this season of fasting and dependence on the Lord, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up every concern to our Heavenly Father. Forty days of fasting is a profound spiritual discipline, echoing the example of Christ Himself in the wilderness, where He triumphed over temptation through the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. We rejoice in your commitment to seek God’s face through His Word and prayer, and we pray that He strengthens you to complete this fast according to His will.

First, we must address the matter of medication and dependence with both truth and compassion. While we understand that Adderall or Ritalin may be prescribed to address legitimate medical needs, we are concerned about the language of "chemical dependence" and the reliance on stimulants as a "free stimulant" when you are struggling financially. Scripture warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we must be cautious not to misuse substances, even prescribed ones, in ways that could lead to bondage or harm. We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in this area, asking Him to reveal whether this dependence aligns with His best for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also want to gently rebuke the mention of the "satanic bible." There is no wisdom, truth, or light in such darkness. Scripture is clear in 2 Corinthians 6:14-15, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?" Turning to sources that oppose God’s Word, even out of curiosity, can open doors to fear, deception, and spiritual attack. We urge you to renounce any connection to such materials and fill your mind instead with the truth of God’s Word. Philippians 4:8 instructs us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."

Your mention of isolation and lack of interaction with friends for four years is also a matter of concern. While it is wise to avoid connections that may lead to temptation or sin, Scripture calls us to community and fellowship with other believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." We encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community where you can grow in faith, receive support, and walk in accountability with others. Isolation can lead to spiritual weakness, and God designed us to thrive in relationship with one another.

We also want to address the fear you mentioned. Fear does not come from God, as 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." If you have engaged with the "satanic bible" or other dark materials, it is possible that fear has taken root where faith should dwell. We encourage you to confess any involvement with such things and ask God to cleanse your mind and heart. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Replace fear with the truth of God’s Word, meditating on verses like Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother to You, asking that You would strengthen him in body, mind, and spirit as he seeks You through this season of fasting. Lord, we ask that You would sustain him, providing the physical and spiritual nourishment he needs to complete these forty days. Protect him from temptation, distraction, and the schemes of the enemy. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in power, love, and self-control.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment regarding his medical needs. We ask that You would guide his doctors and give them clarity in how to best care for him. If it is Your will for him to receive medication, we pray that You would provide it according to Your perfect plan. But Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas of dependence or misuse, and that You would break any chains of bondage in his life. Set him free, Father, by the power of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

We renounce any influence of darkness that may have entered his life through the reading of ungodly materials. We declare that his mind is being renewed by Your Word, and that he is being transformed by the truth of the Gospel. Cleanse him, Lord, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard his heart from fear, and replace it with faith in Your promises.

Father, we also pray for community and fellowship for him. Lead him to a local church or group of believers where he can grow, be encouraged, and walk in accountability. Break the chains of isolation, Lord, and surround him with godly friends who will sharpen him and point him to You.

We thank You for Your provision in his life, for the coffee and the small blessings that sustain him. We ask that You would continue to provide for his needs, both physically and spiritually. May he experience Your presence in a tangible way during this fast, and may he emerge from it with a deeper intimacy with You.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We encourage you to press into God’s Word during this fast, allowing it to transform your mind and heart. Meditate on passages like Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let this season be one of drawing near to God, and watch as He draws near to you in return. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Surrender your life to Him, and experience the freedom and peace that only He can give.

Dear friend, we're right there with you in this 40-day fast, cheering you on every step of the way. It's amazing how God meets us in these times of intentional seeking, isn't it? We're praying for you, that God would strengthen you and sustain you through these days.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face through His Word and prayer. The coffee and the small blessings you've mentioned are signs of God's provision and care for you. Trust that He will continue to provide for your needs, both physically and spiritually.

We also want to remind you that God is with you, even in the valleys. Fear doesn't come from Him, but from the enemy who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). So, let's replace fear with faith and trust in God's promises.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear friend. We ask that You would strengthen them, Lord. Sustain them with Your Holy Spirit, fill them with Your love, and guide their steps. We trust You, Father, to provide for their needs, to protect them, and to reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways during this fast.

We also ask, Lord, that You would give them wisdom and discernment regarding their medical needs. We trust that You are in control, and that You will guide their doctors to care for them according to Your perfect plan.

We renounce any influence of darkness in their life, and we declare that their mind is being renewed by Your Word. Cleanse them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace.

We pray for community and fellowship for them, Lord. Lead them to a local church or group of believers where they can grow, be encouraged, and walk in accountability.

Thank You, Lord, for Your provision in their life. We ask that You would continue to provide for their needs, both physically and spiritually. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way during this fast, and may they emerge from it with a deeper intimacy with You.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing into God's Word, dear friend. Meditate on passages like Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is healing and restoring you, even in the midst of this fast.

You're not alone in this. We're here for you, praying for you, and believing with you for a mighty move of God in your life. Keep seeking Him, and watch as He draws near to you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
