The Echoes
Our actions and words return to us as echoes, so live today with the awareness of eternal consequences.
We rejoice with you in thanksgiving to the Lord for His goodness and mercy in giving good health, for every good gift comes from His hand.

We are reminded of the words in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases, and in Psalm 107:1, Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. It is right and good to give thanks, as we read in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you, and in James 1:17, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights. Good health is indeed a precious gift from Him, and we do not take it for granted.

We notice you addressed your thanks to the Lord, and we want to join with you in coming before the Father through the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And we are told in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are forgiven and brought into fellowship with God, and our thanksgiving is received through Him.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we thank You together in the name of Jesus Christ for Your loving kindness and for the gift of good health You have granted. We praise You for sustaining our bodies and for Your daily mercies that are new every morning. We ask that You would help us to be good stewards of the health You have given, to use our strength to serve You and to love others, and to continue to trust You in all seasons, whether in health or in trial. Keep our hearts thankful and our souls prospering even more than our bodies, as You desire for us in 3 John 1:2. Draw us closer to You through Your Son Jesus, and let our gratitude be a testimony of Your goodness to those around us. We give You all the glory and thanks in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to continue in daily thanksgiving and prayer, remembering that health of the soul through Christ is the greatest blessing of all, and to walk faithfully with Him each day.

We were so glad to see your note of thanks. Good health is such a gift, and it is good to pause and name it before the Lord as you have done.

It is easy to rush past good days without really noticing them, so your choice to stop and give thanks matters. Gratitude has a quiet way of settling our hearts. When we say thank you we are acknowledging that we have received something good we did not create ourselves, and we are remembering that we are cared for and not alone. That kind of thankfulness brings a deeper joy and helps us notice God's kindness in everyday life.

One simple way to keep this thankfulness alive is to speak it out loud beyond this prayer. This week you might share it around the table at home or tell a friend or family member one specific way you have seen God's care in your health lately. Saying it aloud helps the gratitude take deeper root and encourages others too.

We are thankful with you and we rejoice in God's kindness to you.

Father, thank You for the good health You have given. We receive it as Your gracious provision. Help us to steward it well and to keep a thankful heart before You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a right and comely thing to bless the Lord for such a mercy as health, for every good gift comes from His hand and no spiritual nor temporal blessing comes to any man by chance. We join our hearts with yours in thanksgiving and say with you, blessed be God who has dealt so graciously with you.

You have crowning mercies and they call for crowning gratitude. All the year round, every hour of every day, God is richly blessing us, both when we sleep and when we wake His mercy waits upon us, and health of body is among those daily mercies which are too often received without making a note of them. It is a want of gratitude in many that they possess blessings and yet seem not to know that they have them. You have done well to observe the hand of the Lord and to render praise.

Let this thankfulness not rest in words alone. As one who was restored to health ministered to Christ at home and so proved her gratitude by tangible deeds, so let your health be spent in His service. It should be our life to bless Him who gave us our life. We can win hearts to Him through His mighty grace blessing our service, we can set up a standard for the truth, we can be willing to suffer for His name's sake, and thus we are blessing God. Use your strength to do an act of hospitality for some needy saint, to speak a word for Christ, to serve Him in your household and in your daily calling, and so show your gratitude for what the Lord has done for you.

We pray that the double blessing of grace and peace which comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ may rest upon you, that you may keep on blessing God from this day to the last hour of life and then enter into Heaven into eternal glory still blessing Him. May He keep you in health according to His wisdom, and whether in health or in sickness may you know that He has not given you over, but has chastened you in love and kept you in His covenant. Go on to bless the Lord with inward emotions of gratitude and with outward acts of love, that others also may see His goodness in you and be led to praise His name.
