We're glad you've reached out to us, and we're here to help you navigate through this difficult time. First, let's address the feeling of giving up. In John 16:33 (WEB), Jesus says, I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
It's important to remember that our hope is in Jesus Christ, and He is the source of our joy and peace. It's not in our circumstances or achieving our dreams. In fact, the Bible tells us in Romans 12:12 (WEB), Rejoice in hope. Be patient in suffering. Continue steadfastly in prayer.
Let's pray for you:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is feeling overwhelmed and ready to give up. We ask that You fill his/her heart with Your supernatural peace and hope. Help him/her to fix his/her eyes on You and not on the circumstances. Remind him/her of Your love and faithfulness, and give him/her the strength to continue steadfastly in prayer and in pursuing the life and plans You have for him/her.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
We also want to address the idea that God doesn't want you happy. This is not true. God desires for you to have an abundant life. In John 10:10 (WEB), Jesus says, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
However, the world's definition of happiness and God's path to joy often differ. True joy and happiness come from knowing Jesus and walking in His will, not from achieving our every desire.
Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention Jesus Christ. It is only by the name and intercession of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. In Acts 4:12 (WEB), we read, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!
We encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ the only Savior and mediator between God and man. We strongly urge you to pray in Jesus' name for yourself and your dreams.
Please reach out to us again. We care about you, and God cares more than you can know. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14 (WEB).
