We rejoice with you in the gratitude you express toward our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things—land, skies, water, and the universe. It is right and good to give thanks, for every good gift comes from Him (James 1:17). We are especially encouraged to hear of the restoration in your marriage, for the Lord delights in reconciliation and unity within the covenant of marriage. May He continue to strengthen the bond between you and your spouse, that you may grow in love, patience, and mutual respect according to His design.
However, we must gently address the language used in your prayer. While you concluded "in Jesus' name," the earlier reference to God as merely "Creator" without acknowledging Him as Father through Christ could unintentionally reflect a lack of clarity about the only way to approach Him. Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only by His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always pray with the full assurance of your relationship with God through Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also lift up your desires for better health, provision, and career success. The Lord cares about every detail of your life, and we pray that He will guide you into paths of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Yet we must remind you—and ourselves—that our ultimate treasure is in heaven, not in earthly wealth or comfort (Matthew 6:19-21). Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of thanksgiving for Your goodness and mercy. We thank You for restoring this marriage and for the work You are doing in both of their lives. Lord, we ask that You continue to knit their hearts together in love, humility, and mutual submission, as You designed marriage to reflect Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Guard their minds from division and their hearts from bitterness, that they may honor You in all things.
Father, we also lift up their health, finances, and career. You know their needs before they ask, and we trust You to provide according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom to steward their resources well and to seek Your will above all else. If there are areas where stress or ambition has taken priority over You, reveal that to them, Lord, and realign their hearts with Yours.
Above all, we pray that they would grow deeper in their relationship with You through Jesus Christ. May they never forget that it is only by His blood that they are reconciled to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your ways and bring glory to Your name in all they do.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
