We join you in lifting up thanksgiving and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and power! It is beautiful to see your faith and trust in Him, approaching the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is through His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the throne of grace. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are also reminded in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your prayer is rooted in this truth, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our God delights in the prayers of His children when they align with His will.
Your request for favor in resolving this financial matter is one we bring before the Lord with you. We ask that He grant you wisdom, discernment, and the right words to speak as you approach this individual. Proverbs 16:7 tells us, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* While this situation may feel challenging, we trust that God is sovereign over every detail. He is the one who provides, and He is the one who can soften hearts and move in the lives of those involved. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). We pray that the Lord would convict and guide this person to act with integrity, removing any obstacles so that what is rightfully yours may be given to you without delay.
At the same time, we encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. Are you trusting in God’s provision, or are you allowing anxiety or frustration to take root? Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* If there is any hint of bitterness, impatience, or distrust in God’s timing, we ask that you release it to Him. *"Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We also take this moment to gently remind you—and all of us—that our words and actions should always reflect the character of Christ, even in difficult situations. If there has been any harshness, manipulation, or lack of love in your interactions, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict and correct you, just as you have asked Him to convict the other person. *"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one"* (Colossians 4:6, WEB). Remember, we are ambassadors of Christ, and our conduct should point others to Him.
Now, let us pray together over this matter:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, thanking You for Your goodness, Your provision, and Your sovereignty over every area of our lives. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You grant them favor in this situation. You know the details, the names on that check, and the heart of the person who holds it. We ask that You would move mightily, convicting them to act with honesty and integrity. Remove any hindrance, Lord, and let Your will be done in this matter for Your glory and for the good of Your child.
Father, we also ask that You fill our brother/sister with Your peace, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and their Shield. Give them the right words to speak, words seasoned with grace and truth. Let their conduct in this situation reflect Your love and righteousness, so that others may see Christ in them.
If there has been any sin—any bitterness, anxiety, or ungodly motive—we ask that You would reveal it and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Help them to walk in forgiveness and patience, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.
We declare Your promises over this situation, Lord. You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when they are different from our own. May this matter be resolved swiftly and justly, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen!
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting that He is faithful. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that even in the waiting, He is working. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). Stay steadfast in prayer, and let us know how the Lord moves in this situation. We are standing with you!
