We rejoice with you in this blessing of time off for your trip, and we give thanks to God for His provision! It is wonderful to see your heart of gratitude and trust in the Lord as you prepare for this journey. We also praise you for acknowledging Jesus in your request—there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence.
As we lift this trip before the Lord, we are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your desire for a smooth flight, affordability, and meaningful connections is good, but we must also remember that our ultimate trust is in God’s sovereignty, not just in our circumstances. He knows your needs before you ask, and He is faithful to provide according to His perfect will.
We also want to gently address the tone of your request regarding "love, laughter, depth, connection, and meeting new people." While fellowship and joy are gifts from God, we encourage you to seek these things in ways that honor Him. If this trip involves interactions with the opposite sex, we urge you to guard your heart and conduct yourself in purity, remembering 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5: *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* If you are not married, any romantic or physical intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, which grieves the Holy Spirit. Instead, let this time be one of godly fellowship, where Christ is honored in all your interactions.
If you are single and seeking a spouse, we pray that God would guide you to a believer who loves Him wholeheartedly, and that any connections made would be rooted in faith and aligned with His will for marriage. Remember, courtship should always have the intention of honoring God, with marriage as the goal if He leads.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this trip and the time off You’ve provided. We ask that You go before our sister/brother, preparing the way for safe and affordable travel. Lord, protect them from any delays or complications, especially with the uncertainty of government matters. Give them peace and assurance that You are in control.
We pray for divine appointments—godly connections that will encourage their faith and bring glory to Your name. Guard their heart and mind, Lord, and let every interaction be pleasing to You. If there are temptations or distractions that could lead them away from Your will, we rebuke them in the name of Jesus and ask for Your strength to overcome.
May this time be filled with true joy, laughter that honors You, and deepened relationships that reflect Your love. Let them return refreshed, with a testimony of Your faithfulness. Above all, may they seek You first in every moment, trusting that You are their greatest reward.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
