Thank you father

Your thanksgiving is a beautiful offering to God and it has encouraged me greatly to read it. I rejoice with you that you can use your right eye again after so many months of difficulty and that the Lord has provided a doctor who listens and takes you seriously. To go from an eye that would not move to seeing with both eyes again is a great mercy, and it is right to give God thanks for it.

I also thank God with you for His sustaining hand through the thyroid struggle, the stomach pain and acid, and those frightening attacks at night when you could not breathe. He gave you strength to get up for water when you had almost no strength at all, and He has provided for your daily needs through the approval of your SNAP benefits and the extra time for your letter. These are all signs of His care for you.

You mentioned feeling disoriented as you adjust to seeing with both eyes again and feeling tired and unmotivated as your body adjusts to the lower dose of thyroid medicine. That is understandable, and God understands it too. He does not measure your love for Him by how long you pray or how often you feel like talking, but by the faith in your heart. Even a simple cry of thank you, Father, when you remember, is heard by Him. As the Scriptures show, He honors faith even when it comes with a loud cry for mercy, and He says, according to your faith be it unto you. He is not disappointed when you forget. Do not carry guilt for a poor memory. Instead, keep bringing that small, sincere thanks whenever it comes to mind. That is the gratitude by which we serve Him acceptably, not only in good times but in hard times as well.

For your memory and your health, I want to encourage you in two practical ways while we pray for Gods help. First, continue to follow your doctors guidance closely for your thyroid, your stomach acid, and for being close to diabetes. Second, for the medicine you must take with food at random times, try keeping the pills right where you eat, perhaps next to your plate or water glass, so the meal itself becomes the reminder. You already use an alarm wisely for your other pills, and you can ask God to help you build a simple habit for this one as well. He is able to help your mind hold on to what you need, little by little, so that what you hear and learn does not slip away.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone we have salvation and access to You, I thank You for this dear one. Thank You for restoring sight and for providing a caring doctor. Thank You for sustaining life through the nights of breathlessness and for daily provision. I ask You to continue to heal and strengthen the body, to steady the eyes as they learn to work together again, to calm the stomach and ease breathing, and to give wisdom to the doctors. Give grace to adjust to the new thyroid dose and to grow in strength and coordination each day. Help with memory to take the needed medicine faithfully and protect from diabetes. Above all, keep this heart close to You, remembering that even a brief prayer is precious in Your sight, and fill it with peace and continued gratitude. May Your kingdom and Your eternal promises be the anchor in every moment of weakness or disorientation. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Giving thanks with you for the mercy God has shown in restoring movement to your right eye is a real joy. To go for months unable to move it, and now on your second day of being able to use it again, even with the disorientation as your eyes learn to work together, is cause for gratitude. God sees the long season of pain you have carried, the difficulty with the thyroid dosage, the stomach trouble and the frightening nights when you struggled to breathe, and He has given you strength to get up, to drink water, to keep going, and He has provided a doctor who listens and help with your daily needs. For all of this we thank Him with you.

It is understandable that you feel bad when you forget to thank Him or to pray as often as you want to. God does not measure your love for Him by perfect memory. He knows your heart, your limits, and the weariness that comes with adjusting to a lower dose and with decades of pain. What He desires is a humble heart that turns to Him, even in simple, repeated cries of Father. Scripture tells of a king who in great affliction in Babylon humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers and sought the Lord, and the Lord heard him. In the same way, your honest cries in the night, when you could barely get up, are heard. He is near to those who call on Him with a humble and trusting heart.

There is also a man in Scripture whose very name meant sorrow, because his birth had brought pain to his mother. That label could have defined his whole life, but what made him stand out was not the name or the hardship, but that he called on God. God can bring honor and hope out of a life marked by long physical struggle. Your long history of pain and the impairments you have endured do not have to be the final word over you. As you call on Him, He is able to lift you up and give your life purpose beyond the sorrow.

God cares for both body and spirit. In the old tabernacle some were given charge of the physical upkeep of the structure, while others ministered at the altar with offerings and incense. Both were needed, but they were distinct. Your body matters to God, the thyroid, the stomach, the eyes, the need for food and strength, and it is right to seek good medical care and to be thankful for it. At the same time He invites you to bring the deeper offering of your heart, your trust, your thanks, your dependence on Him, at His altar.

There are laws that govern the physical world, the same laws that keep you seated in your chair instead of floating away, and there are also spiritual realities that govern our lives before God. One of those realities is that healing and wholeness come through Jesus. When Peter was questioned about how a lame man had been healed, he made it clear that it was through the name of Jesus that the man stood whole before them. There is power in the name of Jesus to heal, to sustain, and to forgive. Keep bringing every need, the eyes, the stomach, the breathing, the diabetes, before Him in that name, trusting His care whether He brings full healing now or sustaining grace day by day.

For the diabetes medicine that you must take with food at irregular times, it may help to keep the pills right where you eat, perhaps in a small box next to your plate or cup, so the act of eating itself becomes the reminder. You might also ask your doctor or pharmacist if there is a simple routine that could make it easier to remember. And continue to keep your appointments and follow the guidance of the doctor who has been helping you. Praying for a little improvement in memory is a good and humble prayer, and God hears it.

May the Lord continue to steady you as your vision readjusts, calm the acid and gas that troubles your nights, give you strength and clearer coordination, and guard you from diabetes. May He give you peace when you forget, reminding you that His love for you rests on what Christ has done, not on your ability to remember, and may He help you to keep calling on Him in the name of Jesus, in whom there is healing and life.

Father, thank You for restoring sight and for providing a caring doctor and daily provision. Touch this dear one’s body, ease the stomach and breathing, steady the eyes, and help with memory and strength each day. Draw this heart ever closer to You, humble and trusting, and let Your peace rest here. In the name of Jesus, amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We rejoice with you that you were able to use your right eye again and were on your second day of seeing with both eyes after months of suffering since January when your thyroid dosage was increased without proper testing and left you overdosed and unable to move your right eye to the left. We have continued to pray for you as you adjust to using both eyes again and feel disoriented and as you work to regain coordination and strength while adjusting to your lower thyroid dosage.

We thank God with you for providing a new primary care doctor who understands you and takes you seriously and listens when you share about your pain tolerance and stomach pain, and we continue to pray for wisdom for her and for your healing from too much stomach acid and gas and the nighttime attacks where you could not breathe and needed cold water to unblock your breathing and to burp. We are grateful that God gave you strength to get up when you almost passed out and had only strength to cry out to the Father, and we continue to pray for your breathing and stomach to be healed and for your strength to be restored.

We also thank God with you for your SNAP being approved and for the extension of time to get the doctor letter you need. We are lifting up your memory needs before the Lord, that He would help you remember to take your pills for diabetes as you are one point away from diabetes and must take them when you eat at random times, and we pray He gives you peace when you feel bad for forgetting to talk to Him as often as before due to poor working and short term memory. We remember the promise in Psalm 103:3 that He heals all our diseases and in Philippians 4:6 to bring all our requests to God.

If your request was answered and your eyes continue to improve and your coordination returns and your stomach and breathing are better, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and you still need healing for your eyes and stomach and help with memory and strength, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We pray in Jesus Name for your continued healing and peace. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
