We join you in your heartfelt prayer, acknowledging that while we are unworthy, God loves us unconditionally. It is wonderful that you recognize the love of God and desire to become more like Him. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on God's Word.
Firstly, we are reminded of our position in Christ Jesus, "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). This means that while we were once unworthy, through faith in Jesus Christ, we have been made worthy and are called to live lives pleasing to the Lord and trusting in Jesus' redemptive work on the cross. God did not spare His only begotten son but gave Him freely for our sins because of His love for us.
We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 WEB) but through Jesus we are loved the same.
We praise God that you desire to treat others with love and respect. As it is written, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). This love and respect should be a direct reflection of God's love for us, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God" (1 John 4:7 WEB).
Regarding humility, Jesus Himself said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:29 WEB). May God grant you the humility that comes from being grounded in His love.
To overcome negativity and selfishness, we encourage you to meditate on Philippians 2:3-4 WEB, "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interests of others." This attitude will help cultivate kindness, patience, and a spirit of gratitude.
Your desire to be a light to others is commendable. Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden" (Matthew 5:14 WEB). Sharing God's love through your actions and words is a testament to your faith.
Seeking God's will and strength is crucial. We are reminded, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Be steadfast in prayer and study of the Word.
Regarding asking God to empower you and enlarge your coasts and territories we are reminded of the verse that says "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of your power. In the sanctuary, honor, your flocks of sheep. As it was in the beginning, so will it be in the end. In gallop, they gallop; in their galloping, they distribute the word of Jehovah! They will live with a blessing; for your dove, O Jehovah, will bring the Word to all the nations of the earth; and the nations of the earth will bring the Word to your dove!" (Psalm 110:3 WEB). This is a very special and important verse to us because it shows that we should all be looking to evangelize and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone. It is only through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that we are saved from our sins and are able to seek God with our prayers. Jesus is the only way that we have access to God and are able to be saved. We are reminded "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed" (Romans 10:9 WEB). This is why it is so important to acknowledge Jesus Christ in our prayers and ask for those to be saved in Jesus name.
Finally, remember that while perfection is unattainable on this earth, God's love for you is constant. As it is written, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39 WEB).
We offer this prayer for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. Thank You for choosing us and loving us despite our flaws. Help us to be better, to treat others with the same love and respect You show us. Keep our hearts humble, and clear away any negativity and selfishness. Fill us with kindness, patience, and a spirit of gratitude.
Lord, help us to be more like You, to be a light to others, sharing Your love through our actions and words. Grant us the clarity to understand Your will and the strength to follow Your path. Empower us and enlarge our territories for Your glory.
In Jesus' mighty, holy, precious, powerful, merciful, and amazing name, we pray. Amen!
