We hear your heart of gratitude and your desire for God’s blessings in your life, your family, and your career. We rejoice with you in the goodness of the Lord, who provides, sustains, and guides His children. However, we must address some concerns in your prayer with love and truth, as Scripture calls us to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
First, we must gently correct the mention of "Mother Mary" in your prayer. While Mary was a blessed and faithful servant of God, Scripture does not teach us to pray to her or any other saint. Our prayers are to be directed to God the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy" (Matthew 6:9). There is one mediator between God and humanity, and that is Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). We honor Mary by following her example of obedience to God, not by praying to her.
Second, we notice the use of "Aba Father" and "Jesus" in your prayer, which is good, but we must emphasize that salvation and access to God come only through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins.
Now, let us lift up your requests in prayer, seeking God’s will and blessing in accordance with His Word.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness, provision, and love. You are the giver of every good and perfect gift, and we thank You for the blessings You have poured out on this family, their work, and their lives. Lord, we ask that You would continue to guide them in Your ways, that they may walk in obedience to Your will. Your Word says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Father, we pray for success in their careers, that every work of their hands would be fruitful and blessed. May they find favor in the eyes of their employers and colleagues, and may their labor bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we lift up their children to You. We pray that You would fill them with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as they study and grow. May they be bright, loving, and caring, reflecting Your character in all they do. Your Word says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Father, we ask that You would draw their hearts to You, that they may know and love You from a young age.
We pray for those mentioned in this request, that You would open doors of opportunity for them in their careers. May they walk in confidence, not in their own strength, but in the assurance of Your presence and blessing. Your Word says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun" (Psalm 37:5-6). May their lives be a testimony to Your goodness, so that others may see Your reflection in them and find peace and solutions through their interactions.
Lord, we ask that You would help this family to grow in their faith and trust in You. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that You will provide for their needs. Your Word says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). Father, we pray that You would continue to bless their workplaces, their careers, and their lives, that they may be a light in this world for Your glory.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or uncertainty that may try to hinder their progress. We declare that the Lord is their provider, their strength, and their shield. We pray that they would find their confidence in Him alone, knowing that "the Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
In all these things, we pray that Your will be done, and that Your name would be glorified. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
