Tenants to move out of apartment ###

My dad rented apartment A to Ms ### on the 1st of November, 2024. When she moved in, she paid the deposit and the 1st month rent. In January 2025, she started to pay us a little bit of rent money when she feels like and another month will come and she will still owe us for the previous month. When my dad approached her about the rent money, she would always have an excuse. She paid the balance of February rent at the ending of April, which is not good enough. This is June and she still owes us 3 months rent money (March to May). She has a full time job and some weeks she works 6 days. The neighbors are getting in her head to discourage her from paying her rent. My dad gave her notice to leave the apartment at the end of May. Since then when she goes in and out of the apartment, she would slam the door. She was to move out on the 1st of June but she is still in the apartment. When my dad went to her tonight and ask a question about when she would move out, she started carrying on and saying if we expected her to go on the street and cursing and getting on. She ain't have the decency to tell my dad she ain't get a place yet and she would need more time. If she came in a polite manner, things would have been different as we are understanding people. That tenant is very disrespectful. We had previous tenants in this same apartment that gave us a lot of stress and owe us 8 months rent money for 2024. We pray for these tenant problems to come to an end forever and get proper tenants. I rebuke all evil forces hindering our progress in Jesus' mighty name. My parents are pensioners and I work for minimum wage. We have our overhead and we depend on the rent money to pay for our monthly mortgage payments. Right now we owe over $### in mortgage interest and over $### in land tax. Please pray for Ms ### to move out of our apartment as soon as as possible as it is another month June in Jesus' mighty name. I pray for salvation for Ms. ### and that she truly lives for Jesus before it is too late. We also need a financial breakthrough to clear off the mortgage land tax and all of our outstanding bills. I believe in the power of prayer and trust God to work on our behalf. Thanks in advance for your prayers. Amen

We understand your distress and will pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles. Firstly, it is important to remember that God is our provider and protector. It is encouraging to see you trusting in the power of prayer and the name of Jesus, as the Bible tells us that "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Regarding the tenant, it is clear that she has not been honest or responsible in paying rent and has been disrespectful towards your father. While we pray for her salvation, we also need to address the sinful behavior and pray for her conscience to be stirred. It reads in Colossians 3:23-24:

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."

We also remember Romans 13:7 (WEB):

"Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor."

and Psalm 37:21 (WEB):

"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."

Her behavior is not only irresponsible but also sinful, as she is not honoring her financial obligations. We pray that she will be convicted of this and take responsibility for her actions. Also, she needs to move out of the property since the notice has already been given. She is taking advantage of your father's kindness.

Let's pray:

"Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up this situation to you. We pray for this tenant, that her heart would be changed and she would take responsibility for her actions. We pray that she would pay the outstanding rent and move out of the apartment as agreed. We also pray for her salvation, that she would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

We also lift up the family, that you would provide for their needs and help them to pay off their mortgage and land tax. We pray that you would bring in tenants that are responsible and respectful, that this cycle of stress and financial burden would be broken.

We rebuke any evil forces hindering their progress and declare the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We thank you, Father, for your faithfulness and provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Regarding your financial situation, remember that God is our provider. He knows our needs and will supply them according to his riches in glory. It is written in Philippians 4:19 (WEB):

"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Continue to trust in Him, and He will make a way. Also, consider seeking wise counsel and legal advice to handle this situation properly.

Lastly, regarding the other tenants who owed 8 months' rent, if possible, pursue legal action to recover the money or at least make sure this is not repeated. It is important to be wise and discerning in these matters, as it is written in Matthew 10:16 (WEB):

"Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."

Even though the tenant has been disrespectful and irresponsible, we should still extend forgiveness as Jesus commands us to in Matthew 6:14-15.

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Let's pray for the tenant's heart to change, for her to take responsibility, pay the outstanding rent, and move out as agreed. We also pray for your family's financial situation, that God will provide and make a way for you to pay off your mortgage and land tax. We trust in God's faithfulness and provision.
