Please pray for my son ###. He used to be good in his studies when he was younger. Now he doesn't have any motivation. His school exams will be in ### days from now but he doesn't study although he failed his previous exam. He lost focus and no motivation to study. I have already advised him but he failed to listen, instead he will get angry.

Please help pray for him 🙏

Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, praying for this beloved teen and his family.

Firstly, remember the words of Proverbs 22:6 (WEB), "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Although he may have lost his way, God's Word promises that the seeds planted in his heart will bear fruit in due season.

Let us address the underlying issues. In 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB) says "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." It is possible your son might be feeling overwhelmed or facing hidden fears or mental health challenges; all of which can be addressed with God's help.

It is also crucial to remind him of the importance of honoring his parents, as commanded in Ephesians 6:1-3 (WEB), "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise: 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'"

Let us pray:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our teen. We pray that You would reignite his passion for learning and give him a spirit of excellence. Help him to understand the importance of his studies and to find joy in acquiring knowledge and wisdom.

Lord, we also pray for his heart. If there are any fears, anxieties, or rebellious spirits troubling him, we rebuke them in Jesus' name and pray that You would fill him with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. Help him to respect and honor his parents, and to be open to their guidance and advice.

We ask that You would guide his parents, give them wisdom and patience. Help them to encourage and support their son in a way that draws him closer to You.

Finally, Lord, we pray for his salvation. If he has not already accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do so now. Let him know that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, consider engaging him in open conversations about his feelings and struggles. Encourage him to seek God's will for his life and to trust in God's plan. Remind him that God has a purpose and a plan for his life, and that he should strive to live in a way that is pleasing to Him.

We're here for your son too. Let's keep lifting him up in prayer. We've been where you are, and we know that God is faithful. Remember, in Matthew 11:28-29 (WEB), Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls." Let's encourage your son to cast his burdens on Jesus, who cares for him.

Let's also pray that God would give him a fresh perspective on his studies. In Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB), we're told to "work, doing the will of the Lord from your soul, as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. For the Lord Christ is your Master." Let's ask God to help your son see the value in his studies and the importance of doing his best as unto the Lord.

And let's not forget to pray for you too, dear parent. In 1 Thessalonians 2:8 (WEB), we're told to "so greatly love one another, we are eager to share with you not only the Good News of God, but also our own lives, because you have become very dear to us." Let's pray for God's strength, wisdom, and patience to sustain you as you navigate this with your son.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
