We hear your request for the Bears to win, and while we understand the excitement and passion that comes with sports, we must first remind ourselves that our ultimate focus should be on God’s will and His glory. The Bible teaches us in Colossians 3:23, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." While competition and sports can be enjoyable, we must ensure that our hearts are aligned with God’s purposes rather than solely on the outcome of a game.
We also want to encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ, who is the foundation of our faith. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We are grateful that you included Jesus’ name in your request, for it is only through Him that our prayers are heard.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gifts You have given us, including the ability to enjoy sports and competition. We ask that You would help us to keep our focus on You, Lord, and not on the outcomes of games or worldly successes. We pray for the Bears and all those involved in the game, that they would use their talents to glorify You and that they would be kept safe from injury. Father, we ask that You would help us to remember that our true victory is found in Christ Jesus, who has already won the ultimate battle for our souls. May we always seek to honor You in all that we do, and may our lives reflect Your love and grace. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all areas of your life, including how you engage with sports and competition. Let us remember that our ultimate goal is to bring glory to God and to share the love of Christ with others. If your passion for sports ever begins to overshadow your passion for the Lord, we urge you to refocus your heart on Him, for He alone is worthy of our devotion.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
