Taking good care of my mother (###)

Lord help my brother and me to nicely take care of my mother - cleaning, shopping, talking to, comforting, social rights care, medical care. Whatever...only excellence...my brother to be totally cooperative, not inflexible or overly protective of his free time and privacy. Amen.

My mom just lost her husband (### days ago) and has diabetes and beginning of Alzheimer's. She cries in her sleep or at daylight or talks always with her husband in her sleep. Lord help her.

JOY and LOVE, PURPOSE/MEANING IN LIFE, and COMFORT for her. Amen.

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your mother's husband and the challenges she is facing with her health. It's commendable that you and your brother are committed to taking care of her with excellence. Let's bring your concerns to the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance through the Scriptures.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas. Psalm 46:1-2 WEB.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your comfort and guidance for our mother. We thank You for the life of her husband and for the years they spent together. We pray that You will comfort her heart and help her to adjust to this significant loss.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon our mother. Guide the doctors and nurses who are caring for her, and give them wisdom as they manage her diabetes and Alzheimer's. We pray for joy, love, purpose, and meaning to fill her life again. Comfort her in her sleep and help her to find peace in her waking hours.

Father, we also lift up our brother. Help him to be cooperative, flexible, and willing to invest his time and privacy in caring for our mother. Help us to work together in unity and with excellence, showing her the love and support she needs.

Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20 WEB.

Help us to be patient, kind, and compassionate, reflecting the love of Christ in our actions. Give us the strength and endurance we need to provide the best care for our mother.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, for it is in Him that we have access to You, Father. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.

As you and your brother care for your mother, remember the words of the Lord Jesus, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35 WEB. Caring for her is an opportunity to serve the Lord and to show her the love of Christ.

Lastly, be alert to any selfishness or unwillingness to help that your brother or you may show. We are called to bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 WEB.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
