Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord help my husband with swallowing issues due to radio therapy. His muscles are weak.Six months ago he had procedure to widen food pipe.He has to have another procedure and laser treatment.Lord heal him and be with him.I am giving his problems in your hands.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear husband who is struggling with swallowing difficulties after radio therapy. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and restores what is broken. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Lord, we ask that You would touch this man’s throat and esophagus, strengthening the muscles that have been weakened by treatment. Bring full restoration to his ability to swallow, that he may eat and drink without pain or fear.

We also pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors who will perform the upcoming procedure and laser treatment. May Your guiding hand be upon them, Lord, as they work to widen his food pipe and bring relief. Give them clarity, precision, and compassion as they care for him. We declare that this next procedure will be successful and that the laser treatment will bring healing, not further harm. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even in medical interventions, You are at work.

Father, we lift up this wife who is carrying the burden of her husband’s suffering. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that she is not alone in this battle—You are her ever-present help in times of trouble. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her and her husband deeply.

We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of fear or discouragement that may be trying to take root in their hearts. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly. We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You. We speak life, healing, and restoration over this husband’s body in the mighty name of Jesus.

Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their lives, we ask that You would bring it to light so that it may be dealt with. Sin can hinder our prayers and our healing, so we pray for repentance and cleansing in every area of their lives. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins to You.

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach You, Father. We thank You for the finished work of the cross, where Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. By His stripes, we are healed. We stand on this truth and declare it over this husband’s life today.

May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. May they feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them in every moment of this journey. We trust You, Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your healing touch. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, lifting up your husband's health to our Heavenly Father. We've been reminded of Psalm 30:2, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Lord, we claim that promise today. We ask You to strengthen his throat and esophagus, to heal and restore his swallowing ability. We trust that You're in control of every detail, even in this medical journey.

We also pray for peace and comfort for you, dear wife. You're carrying a heavy burden, but remember, God is always by your side. In times like these, we can find solace in His unfailing love, as it says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Let's claim these verses together and trust that God is working all things for their good, according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
