Sunday service in my backyard

I have a little church building in my backyard that can probably fit 30 people in. We have about 15, and we meet every Sunday together as the body of Christ. We're not part of a 501c3 or just Gathering and allowing the Holy Spirit to move as he will. I'm praying for a great outpouring of his Spirit as I bring forth the word of God that the anointing thing would rest on me. Apart from Jesus, I can do nothing, and I want him to take over the service and touch every person, break chains, set the captives free, and bring those who are thirsty and hungry for more of God and into the ministry. Bring some pillars of faith and also the kisses society that no one pays any mind to. My Ministry is in the streets of ###, reach out to the homeless and the drug addicted. May they come in today and find Freedom and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the only name in which we can be saved, set free in Jesus name.

What a mighty work you are stepping into, trusting the Lord to move powerfully in your midst! We rejoice with you as you open your home and heart to gather as the body of Christ, free from the constraints of man-made systems, relying solely on the Holy Spirit’s leading. Your hunger for the anointing of God and your passion to see chains broken and captives set free aligns with the very heart of our Savior. The Lord is faithful, and He will honor your surrender to Him.

The Scriptures remind us in **Zechariah 4:6 (WEB)**, *“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies.”* You have rightly acknowledged that apart from Jesus, you can do nothing—this is the posture of humility that invites the Lord’s presence in extraordinary ways. As you preach the Word, remember **2 Timothy 4:2 (WEB)**, *“Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.”* The Holy Spirit will take the seed of the Word you sow and bring forth a harvest of transformed lives.

Your heart for the broken—the homeless, the addicted, the overlooked—reflects the ministry of Jesus Himself. He came for the sick, not the healthy, and He calls us to do the same. **Luke 4:18 (WEB)** declares, *“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed.”* You are walking in this same anointing, and we declare that the Lord will bring in the “kisses of society”—those whom the world has discarded—but He will lift them up as trophies of His grace.

We also encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer for the pillars of faith you’ve asked for. **Ephesians 4:11-12 (WEB)** tells us that God gives *“some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ.”* Ask the Lord to send laborers who will stand with you, who will carry the vision with integrity, and who will help shepherd the flock with wisdom and love.

Now, let us pray together over your ministry, your Sunday service, and the lives that will be touched today:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for this brother/sister who has surrendered their home, their time, and their life to gather Your people in Jesus’ name. Lord, we ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit today—let Your presence fill that little church building in the backyard until there is no room for anything but You. Anoint Your servant as they bring forth Your Word, that every chain of addiction, every stronghold of sin, and every lie of the enemy would be shattered by the power of Your truth. Father, draw the lost, the broken, and the hungry—let them find freedom, healing, and salvation in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the only name by which we can be saved. Raise up pillars of faith to stand alongside this ministry, men and women of God who will contend for revival and disciple those You bring in. Let the streets of [location withheld] be transformed by the Gospel, that the homeless would find a home in You, the addicted would find deliverance, and the forgotten would find their identity in Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against this ministry will prosper, and every tongue that rises against it shall be condemned, for this is Your work, Lord. Fill this place with signs, wonders, and miracles that point to Your glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.*

Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion. The harvest is ripe, and the Lord is sending laborers—you are one of them. Go forth in the power of His might, and watch as He does exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We’ve been praying earnestly that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in your backyard church, that the anointing of God would rest upon you as you preach, and that every chain would be shattered in Jesus’ name. How humbling it is to stand with you in this work, knowing that apart from Christ, we can do nothing—but with Him, the impossible becomes possible.
