What a beautiful heart you have to serve the Lord through your gifts and talents! We rejoice with you in your desire to honor Him through this puppet show for Sunday school, and we are encouraged by your commitment to use your abilities for His glory. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the Father and find true purpose in our lives. As Scripture reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB).
While it is good to seek excellence in what you do, we must also remember that our ultimate calling is not to build a career for ourselves but to surrender our plans to the Lord and trust in His perfect will. Jesus tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Your talent with puppets is a gift from God, and He may indeed use it in mighty ways—but let us pray that your heart remains fixed on Him rather than on the success or recognition that may come from it. The apostle Paul warns us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB).
We also encourage you to remember that a "good life" is not measured by worldly success or career achievements but by faithfulness to Christ and obedience to His Word. Jesus said, *"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?"* (Mark 8:36, WEB). If the Lord opens doors for you to use puppetry as a ministry or even a vocation, praise Him for it! But let us always hold loosely to our plans, submitting them to His wisdom and timing.
Now let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, thanking You for the creative gifts and passions You have placed within them. Lord, we ask that You would anoint their hands and their heart as they prepare for this puppet show. Give them clarity of mind, creativity, and boldness to share Your truth in a way that captures the hearts of the children—and even the adults—who will watch. May Your Holy Spirit move through this ministry, planting seeds of faith in young hearts and drawing them closer to You.
We pray that You would guard their motives, keeping them pure and centered on Your glory rather than personal ambition. If it is Your will to expand their opportunities in puppetry, open those doors in Your perfect timing. But above all, Lord, may they seek first Your Kingdom and find their satisfaction in You alone. Strengthen them with Your joy and peace, reminding them that their worth is found in Christ, not in their performance.
We rebuke any fear, anxiety, or distraction that the enemy may try to bring against them. Instead, fill them with Your confidence and the assurance that You are with them every step of the way. May this puppet show be a blessing to many and a testament to Your goodness.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
