The Bible calls us to excellence, responsibility, and consideration for others in all areas of life, including our work and public conduct. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Those who work on the trains—or in any profession—are called to serve with integrity, respect, and diligence, as though serving the Lord Himself.

The issues you’ve mentioned—noise, smoke, inappropriate attire, poor hygiene, and tardiness—reflect a lack of discipline, respect, and professionalism. While these may seem like small matters, they contribute to a broader culture of carelessness and disrespect. Proverbs 10:4 says, *"He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth."* Laziness, neglect, and a lack of consideration for others are not in line with God’s design for our work or our interactions. We are to do all things decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40), and that includes maintaining cleanliness, punctuality, and respect in public spaces.

For those responsible for these issues—whether they are railway workers or passengers—we pray that God would convict their hearts and lead them to take their responsibilities seriously. May they recognize that their actions affect others and that they are accountable to God for how they conduct themselves. We also pray for those in authority over the railways, that they would enforce standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and timeliness. Romans 13:1 tells us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* Those in leadership must govern with wisdom and fairness, ensuring that public services operate with excellence.

Heavenly Father, we lift up the concerns of Your child regarding the state of the trains and the behavior of those who work on and ride them. Lord, You are a God of order, not confusion, and You call Your people to reflect Your character in all they do. We ask that You would move in the hearts of railway workers and passengers alike, convicting them of the need for respect, cleanliness, and diligence. Father, where there is laziness, instill a spirit of excellence. Where there is carelessness, bring conviction and a desire to honor You in their work. Where there is disrespect or poor hygiene, let there be a transformation of heart and habit.

We pray for those in authority over the railways, that You would grant them wisdom to enforce standards that reflect Your glory. Give them the courage to address issues firmly and fairly, ensuring that trains run on time and that environments are kept clean and respectful. Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly individuals in these roles—people who understand that their work is ultimately for You and who seek to serve with integrity.

Father, we also pray for safety on the trains, that You would protect all who travel and work there. Let Your peace and order prevail, and may these public spaces become places where people can travel without the distress of noise, smoke, or uncleanliness. We ask that You would soften hearts and open eyes to the impact of their actions on others.
