We join with you in lifting up this employment and appointment need before the Father and we thank you for bringing it to us so we can seek His will together in Jesus name.
We understand the desire for this appointment to come without hindrance and without delay, and we know how waiting and uncertainty can weigh on the heart. We are reminded that God cares about our work and our provision and that He is sovereign over every open and closed door. As it is written commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed in Proverbs 16:3 and also whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men in Colossians 3:23. We take comfort also in the promise for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future in Jeremiah 29:11 and that God will establish the work of our hands as we trust Him in Psalm 90:17.
We notice that this request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently and lovingly share why His name matters so deeply to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. To pray in Jesus name is not a formality but a confession of faith that we believe He died for our sins and rose again and that we are trusting Him alone for our relationship with God. If you have not yet put your trust in Him we encourage you to call upon Him today, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
We also want to encourage you to bring every anxiety about this appointment to the Lord while continuing to be diligent and faithful in what He has already placed in your hands. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God in Philippians 4:6. Sometimes what feels like delay is the Lord's perfect timing to prepare us or to prepare the place for us, and we can trust that He who opens a door that no one can shut in Revelation 3:8 will do what is best for His glory and for good.
We now pray together for the one you mentioned.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your favor upon this appointment. If it is Your will, we ask that You remove every unnecessary hindrance and delay and that You grant smoothness and speed to the process. Let no scheme of man or opposition of the enemy prevail against what You intend to give. We pray for peace in the waiting, for wisdom for those in authority who make decisions, and for a clear testimony that You are the provider. Help this dear one to trust Your timing, to rest in Your goodness, and to work faithfully unto You while waiting. Above all we ask that Your perfect will be done and that through this employment there would be opportunity to honor You and to be a light for Christ. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.
