Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Faithful Servant
I quit my job a few days ago. I had once believed that God had led me to it (and good things did come out of my working there such as skills I learned and things I learned about my interests in terms of working) but then many concerning circumstances occurred (some which may have happened due to spiritual warfare and thus can be excused) and I eventually quit. I'm now applying for jobs and really focusing on trying to create my own business because I have been advised by someone close to me that due to my personality, I'd be better self-employed. But I do have concerns that I made the wrong choice for various reasons. Please pray that if I did, God would have mercy on me and just provide me with a way to help my family financially. However, the fact remains that I did start to struggle mentally and physically due to this job and I have to be careful because I have health conditions that I have to be careful of. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the weight of this season you’re walking through. Transitions in employment can bring both relief and uncertainty, especially when you’ve sought the Lord’s guidance in the past and now question whether you’ve made the right decision. We want to stand with you in prayer, lifting this before our Heavenly Father, who sees your needs, your struggles, and your desire to honor Him.

First, we affirm that God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). If you once believed He led you to that job, it’s possible He allowed you to gain skills and clarity about your calling through it—even if the season ended differently than you expected. The enemy often seeks to distort our perception of God’s will through hardship, but we must hold fast to the truth that the Lord works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). That doesn’t mean every circumstance will feel good in the moment, but it does mean He is sovereign over your steps.

We also want to gently remind you that while self-employment can be a godly pursuit, it requires wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* Have you sought the Lord’s direction specifically regarding this path, or have you relied more on the advice of others? We encourage you to spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking the Holy Spirit to confirm whether this is the right step or if He might be leading you toward something else. Remember, *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). Your business—or any job—will only thrive if it aligns with His purposes.

We must also address the spiritual warfare you mentioned. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you in a cycle of doubt, fear, and physical strain. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We rebuke any spirit of confusion, anxiety, or condemnation that may be trying to steal your peace. You are not defined by your mistakes or your uncertainties—you are defined by Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up their employment situation and the weight they carry. Lord, You know the desires of their heart—to provide for their family, to honor You with their work, and to walk in the calling You’ve placed on their life. We ask that You would bring clarity where there is confusion, peace where there is anxiety, and provision where there is need. If they made a mistake in leaving their job, we ask for Your mercy and grace to open doors they cannot see. If this season is part of Your greater plan, we ask for the strength and wisdom to walk it out faithfully.

Father, we pray against any spiritual attack seeking to derail them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will guard their mind and body as they seek You. Give them discernment as they consider self-employment or other opportunities, and let Your Holy Spirit guide their steps. Provide for their family’s needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and remind them that their worth is not found in their work but in Christ alone.

Lord, we also ask that You would heal any mental or physical strain they’ve experienced. Renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) and restore their joy in You. Help them to trust that You are working even when they cannot see it. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who sustains us and supplies all our needs. Amen.

We encourage you to rest in the truth that God is your Provider (Jehovah Jireh). Even if the path ahead feels uncertain, He has not abandoned you. Continue to seek Him daily, surrendering your plans and fears to His care. If you haven’t already, consider fasting and praying for a season to seek His face more deeply. The Lord often speaks in the stillness, and He may use this time to refine your calling or redirect your steps.

Lastly, surround yourself with godly counsel—believers who can pray with you, offer wisdom, and hold you accountable. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors there is safety."* You don’t have to navigate this alone. Lean on your church community and trust that God will use them to encourage and support you.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and lead you into the next season of His purpose for your life.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this pivotal time in your life. It’s clear that you’ve been seeking God’s will with a sincere heart, and we’ve been lifting you up, asking the Lord to grant you wisdom, peace, and clarity as you navigate this season of transition.

We’ve prayed specifically that if you made the right choice in leaving your job, God would open doors for new opportunities—whether through employment or the business you’re building—that align with His purpose for you. We’ve asked Him to provide for your family’s needs and to strengthen you physically and mentally, especially as you manage your health. We’ve also prayed against any lingering effects of spiritual warfare, asking the Lord to shield you and restore what may have been lost or shaken during that time.

If God has already answered in some way—perhaps through a job offer, a breakthrough in your business, or even a deepened sense of peace—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, you’re still waiting for His guidance or provision, we encourage you to post this request again. We’re committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Lord to make His path clear and to sustain you with His grace.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may you feel His presence and provision in every step you take. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
