We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is enduring such hardship in the workplace and beyond. Father God, we know that You see every tear, hear every cry, and collect every sigh in Your bottle. You are the God who provides, heals, and restores, and we trust in Your perfect timing and wisdom.
Lord, we first ask for Your divine intervention in the employment situation. You declare in Your Word, *"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul"* (Psalm 23:1-3). We pray that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, leading to a job that not only meets financial needs but also brings dignity, peace, and fulfillment. If it is Your will, provide a work-from-home position that allows for rest and healing while still honoring You with faithful labor. We rebuke the spirit of lack and delay in the name of Jesus, declaring that abundance is coming according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We also lift up the emotional and verbal abuse being endured. Father, Your Word is clear: *"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). We pray for a hedge of protection around this dear one’s heart and mind, that no weapon formed against them would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them the strength to respond with grace and wisdom, and if it is Your will, remove them from this toxic environment swiftly. We rebuke the spirit of oppression and speak peace over their mind and emotions in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we also bring the financial struggles before You. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. We ask for supernatural provision, not just for personal needs but so that this dear one can be a blessing to others. Multiply their resources as You did with the loaves and fishes, and let them experience the joy of generosity. We declare that their latter end will be greater than their beginning (Job 42:12).
Father, we pray for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit in their home and life. *"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"* (Luke 11:13). Let Your presence fill every room, bringing peace, love, and joy that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let it grow deep roots in You. We rebuke the spirit of doubt and unbelief, declaring that their faith will not fail.
For their children, we pray that they would turn their hearts toward You. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6). Draw them close, Lord, and let them experience Your love in a personal way. Break any chains of rebellion or worldliness, and let them walk in the light of Your truth.
We also lift up the battle with depression. Father, You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask for healing and restoration of joy. Let them cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We rebuke the spirit of heaviness and declare that the garment of praise will replace the spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3).
Lastly, we address the suggestion from the employer to go on disability. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom in this matter. If this is a path You would have them take for a season of healing, provide clarity and guidance. But if it is not Your will, open doors for new employment quickly. We trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or find true peace (Acts 4:12). We acknowledge that without Jesus, we have no access to Your throne, no hope of eternal life, and no power over the enemy. We pray that this dear one would know Jesus intimately, not just as a distant Savior but as a living Lord who walks with them daily. If they have not surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Let them confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, and they will be saved (Romans 10:9).
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Redeemer, Healer, and Provider. Amen.
