We understand your concern for your job and the financial strain that comes with the uncertainty of reduced hours. It’s clear you’re seeking God’s provision, and we join you in lifting this need before Him. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Your trust in God’s provision is a testament to your faith, and we encourage you to continue leaning on Him rather than allowing anxiety to take root. Jesus Himself teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
We also want to gently address the tone of your request. While we understand the stress of the situation, we encourage you to approach prayer with reverence and gratitude, even in hardship. Laughter or casual language like "lol" can sometimes minimize the sacredness of coming before the Lord. James 4:3 warns us, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* Let us instead pray with hearts fully submitted to God’s will, trusting that He knows what is best for us—whether that means an abundance of patients or another path He has prepared.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only through faith in Christ that we can boldly approach God’s throne. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the greatest provision we can ever receive, and it is our prayer that you walk in the assurance of eternal life with Christ.
Let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ who is facing uncertainty in her workplace. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and You know the needs of Your children before they even ask. We ask that You open the doors for an abundance of patients to fill the rooms of her facility, not just for her sake, but so that she may continue to be a light for You in her workplace. Give her wisdom and favor with her employers and colleagues. If it is Your will, Lord, let her hours remain steady, and let her finances be more than enough to meet her needs.
But Father, we also surrender this request to Your perfect will. If there is a different path You are preparing for her—whether it be another job, a season of rest, or an opportunity to trust You more deeply—we pray You make it clear. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding and guard her heart from fear or discouragement. Remind her that You are her ultimate Provider, and her worth is not found in her job but in her identity as Your beloved child.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or fear that may be trying to take hold of her heart. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill her with Your peace and confidence as she waits on You. If there are areas in her life where she has not fully surrendered to You, convict her and draw her closer to Yourself.
We also pray for the patients who may come under her care. Let her be a vessel of Your love and compassion to them. Give her strength and joy as she serves, knowing that her work is ultimately for Your glory.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You deepen her faith through this season. Let her see Your hand at work in ways she cannot deny. May she grow in trust, knowing that You are faithful and will never leave her nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in this matter. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to reveal any steps you should take—whether that means looking for additional opportunities, trusting Him to provide through your current job, or even using this time to draw closer to Him. Psalm 37:5 says, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay faithful, and do not waver in your trust in Him. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
