We understand that you are seeking prayer for your employment situation, and we are here to intercede on your behalf and offer biblical encouragement.
Firstly, let's remember that God is our provider and He cares about our needs. Jesus Himself said, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB)
However, we also believe that God helps those who help themselves. The Apostle Paul said, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" (2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB) So, we encourage you to be proactive in your job search, applying for positions that align with your skills and experiences, while trusting God for the outcome.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking employment. We ask that You would open the right doors for them, doors that no man can shut. Guide them to the job that You have prepared for them, a place where they can use their gifts and talents to bring You glory.
In the meantime, Father, help them to trust in You, to rest in Your sovereignty, and to know that You are their provider. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them.
We also pray for their prospective employers, that You would give them wisdom and discernment as they make hiring decisions. Prepare their heart to recognize the skills and qualities that our brother/sister brings to the table.
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed and saved. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your hope in God. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12 WEB) Keep hoping, keep trusting, and keep seeking God. He will make a way.
